  1. it would be quite easy to get carrried away with it to be honest as its a real feel good factor when it goes right and applies really well. ill do a write up no probs and also put up some pics of the installs i did. ZX-TT nice one, i have tinited windows before and this stuff is alot easier to play with because if you mess up you can heat it up so it retains its shape and the creases dissapear. if you need any help or tips just let me know buddy. thanks for all the positive comments guys, it even went that well i dragged the missus of the sofa to check it out..lol and it does look as good close up as it does in the pics.
  2. mmm turbo side it looks as though it comes straight off turbo and into cat then flanged on the out side of the cat. The first pic in the linkl doesnt show what its like from the turbo, is there any more? thanks groover
  3. under the car yesterday as im getting some custom made 3" pipes from the cats to my ZEE exhaust. Looking at the downpipes though they are welded to the cats without a flange in sight? what do you all do when you buy new downpipes and keep the cats in place?
  4. used 3m Carbon Wrap. I will do a write up if wanted? I found it relatively easy to be honest although i have picked up a certain amount of skills over the years as i used to build custom audio builds and trim them in alcantara and leather etc. I have just removed my rear standard spoiler and im having it all smoothed next week. i bought the filler piece from Luke and was going to have it sprayed up sliver but now im going to carbon wrap it.
  5. yer all done by me self.. i was a little sceptical about the finish of the corners as ive seen some with kinks and wrinkles but my effort is litterally perfect everywhere. took about 5 hours start to finish.
  6. Carbon roof is now completed and i must say it looks awesome!! Had to strip the interior roof trim out so i could remove the ttop centre bar and other trim pieces so i could wrap the all the recess and gutter parts so it looks good when the roof is off. Its good stuff to apply but an art is envolved and patience is a must. Its all in the prep work but very rewarding and ive not seen it done to a zed before so thought id be differnet. Also did the ashtray and both door shuts/supports what you all think?
  7. managed to clean the insides today with a custom made tool.. cut and bent a paint tub handle and wrapped the end in rag. They where grafted!! much much cleaner now, if any of you are thinking of doing this i had attached the pic of the tool and shape you need to make.
  8. cool thanks mate, looks like another day in the garage then swearing my head off.. lol
  9. £30 today did 100 miles. This fuel hike has made quite a noticable difference as im sure i used to get 130 miles on £30???
  10. yer i can clearly see them moving up and down and having read some older posts i cannot see the hid bulb through the lense so i imagine they are grafted, ill have a go at cleaning them tomorrow but getting inside the projector lense looks a right job? need a really long and skinny finger for that i imagine? i will also give the glass removel ago while they are in situ, looks easy enough... famous last words....
  11. fitted some HIDs a few weeks back and it was the first chance i had got to go out in it last night. i have since looked at adjusting the beam pattern had succesfully adjusted the height bringing the passenger side down a tad, but my biggest problem is the beam pattern on the drivers side. Passenger side when parked in front of my nice white garage door emits a nice white beam into a noticeable spot. Drivers side no matter how hard i fiddle with it is just a splayed pattern with no light spot? how can i overcome this or adjust it, it annoys me every time i return from a drive in the dark. The drivers side is also slightly yellow but i would expect thats because its dirty inside..
  12. he will be pleased when he does, nice to feel missed.
  13. Is there anyway of catagorising the different models of Z's on here past and present in a search function? Im looking to try and find some history on my SWB TT as it came into the UK in 2005 and wonder if it was ever owned by a past member on here?
  14. thats sooooo nice when people are missed on forums, ha..
  15. but without going through the pain in the ass of installing a seperate sendor where else can i pick up both bank signals buddy? cheers James
  16. i have connected my air/fuel gauge up today to pin 29 and 55 as suggested and i have installed an inline switch to alternate between banks. the problem being neither side or the gauge gives a reading which is stable and almost flashes a signal on and off?
  17. Update. Its stopped doing it completely, maybe its just because they where new?
  18. yer gonna order the strip and carbon effect it..
  19. cool, ive just had a look at some pics with spoiler on and i can see where it came from now. thanks for the help boys
  20. very interesting mate, an insperation!! would love to take on something like that but never gonna have the time or space. cant wait for the next installment now...
  21. i dont rememeber seeing it before, was i covered buy the "sponge" and will the new trim infill cover it once again? thanks.
  22. Hi all, removed my water sodden spoiler today after it completely freezing solid and splitting everywhere. so now an excuse to remove and smooth or replace with a fibre glass one. After spending a full afternoon removing glue and bonding it cleaned up really well with not a hint of rust in sight. went to open boot lid and it almost smacked me in the chin its so light, before it wouldnt even stay up! question is i have a miossing section of trim in the middle (in pic). do we have to buy a new trim full one piece or when i buy the infill part does it cover it? cheers James
