  1. This is great chears. i think i'm going to have to schedual sometime off the road. then i can take the plenums off, replace the det sensor and change some hoses. i'm going to have to be realy nice to my mechanic friends in the next coming weeks.
  2. that is verry possible, i did have one before, it was just a little one in a little bit of pipe (about 6mm) just snipped the pipe short and reconneccted it and it was ok. that was easy to find though because it was hisssing. how would i go about finding one now?
  3. well found the problem, one of the hoses at the back of the engine on the top drivers side has a little split. its a right angle bend. looks like its going to be a ******* to change because the rest of the pipe goes quite far down.
  4. hmm, so why does mine struggle. i thought it was just being the fact that its got a massive engine. hmm, think i should check the flash codes again.
  5. as the title suggests. mine struggles to do 30mph in 3rd, think it sits at about 2000 rpm and it struggles without stuttering. thinking on it seems to stutter at any steady speed realy. feels ok accelerating though.
  6. well it is still a mystery. after being up on the lift, there is now no leak. there is signes of a slight leak, but nothing too dramatic. however after giving it the beans on the way home and getting a bit of presure on the system there was a hissing sound after the engine was killed. it looks to be coming from the top in the drivers side. just seems strange that one day it'll piss all the fluid out, but after a day of being stould, it'll then do a 14mile trip and the level will bearly move. them engine fairys must of been out and fixed it for me. hopefully getting a preasure test tonight if the weather sorts itself out, so should hopefully expose the problem.
  7. well its going up on the lift today, so should have a better idea at about 4:00
  8. yesterday after driving for about 10mins, i pulled up at my destination to find that all of my coolant was escaping from the car. from underneath it looked like it was coming from the back of the engine. haven't had chance to look under it yet, but its going on a lift tomorrow. hopping its just a split hose. was well and truly gutted. Anyone no of any prone places to split in the engine bay?
  9. excellent chears, what about the fuel tank light? will that still work? i was thinking of using araldite (just because i have alot of it at work) or will that be the same as superglue? what about double sided tape?
  10. the tyres that are on it arn't bald. just the standard rims that will be thrown in. it has got a nasty scratch and some carpark rash. let me know though. what prelude are you looking at? i wanted a prelude, verry nearly bought one but the guy wouldn't hand over the reg, so wasn't willing to drive to bradford. 24hours later, stumbled upon the zed!
  11. This is excellent. thank you very much.
  12. Yes, i bought some plasma glow ones from ebay. was hopping to have a blast at fitting them tomorow.
  13. just wondering how to remove the instument pannel to fit my new dials. i've tried the search section but there doesn't seem to be a straight forward how to. just how to fit the dials themselves, not the actual removal of the pannel. Chears Steve
  14. I had the same problem. i just removed the centre trim around the gear stick. and the rubber seals were just lifted off. easy fix.
  15. This is true. Just take the live feed from the out going of the switch (if you choose to switch the live) this means the live will only have voltage if the switch is made. and then just earth it at the most convinient point.
  16. i've got a convoy going myself, think we're just going up the A19, we're not setting off till about 1:30 so we'll probs just meet you there. we'll be there whatever the weather.
  17. hope the weather stays off for this.
  18. mine usuall works out to be somewhere around there. i was hopping it would be nearly double that when i bought it.
  19. we still on for sunday? even though weather will probably be awfull.
  20. after months of moanig finaly got some subs fitted in the boot. only the first attempt (not ever just in the Zed) so nowhere near finished yet. I'm thinking some black leatherette for the sub boxes and some sort of perspex adaption for the amp involving some red L.E.D's. These arn't the final choice for the subs either, i didn't want to remove my others from my daily drive so just thought i'd wack these in for now. [/img] [/img] [/img] Got my rear lights fitted aswell. [/img] and finaly some clear indicators. [/img]
  21. If you guys fancy a drive then there's a meet on sunday in sunderland. its the monthly "Jap North East" meet at the nissan sports an social club just off the A19. there's a few zedders going. would be nice if some of you could make it.
  22. was hoping to have my rims refurbed by sunday, however when tried to drop them off last week i got turned away because he didn't have time, i was supossed to drop it off tonight but my daily runners got a flat so i'm a bit screwed till i get that fixed. however i have got mark1 of the boot install fitted, and mite even have it finished by sunday.
  23. I'm finally making a start on my sound system tomorrow, was just wondering if anyone knows the easiest place to run the power lead for the amp. not sure if there is a easily accessible grommet in the passenger foot well or not? any tips and advice would be appreciated. Steve
  24. Excellent GeeDee, looks like a good turn out. what about geordie liam? or Tony B?
  25. dude that is nice! i like the rear centre pannel. i just fitted my clear lights the other day, i'm not to impressed because the blacks don't match, the lights have a slight red hint to them where as my standard centre is realy black. shame you can't make the JNE meet, would be nice to see it in the flesh!
