  1. this is sad news indeed. idealy what u want is someone willing to buy yours, turn it to TT and then sell u it back at a later date......oh how to dream.
  2. that does suck that fella. just shows there is some nasty people out there. seen as though your braking though, any chance of the window strips (the ones on the side of the windscreen, the two on the targas, and the two little sh*tty ones behind the targas) price?
  3. so was it five numbers on the lottery then. that must of cost a canny bit. looks shit hot though. your gunna have to bring it to meet at somepoint.
  4. dude that is awsome, is it all road legal? just out of intrest peter, what do you do for a living?
  5. i'm gunna go for grey, its a mixture between the black and the white, therfore a compremise and also the winner!
  6. well may aswell go the whole hog and bosh some of these on aswell [/img]
  7. i could be intrested if you still have the controller (the bit with the buttons on it)
  8. they look sound. they really are very easy to fit, the hardest part is just finding somwhere to put the ballasts. but i just used a few cable ties and that did the trick.
  9. i like the pearl peter, but i do remeber what you were saying about the bumpers. should look nice when its all done, id the front bumper growing on you yet? Chears Veteran, i do keep changing my mind about the spoiler. i let my mate have a go at drifting it the other day on a field. it gave the first opertunity for me to see it driving (as i'm allways in it) and it really did look nice without the spoiler. i realy would like to get a lip spoiler, or to just have it smothed and sprayed. however its a bit late now, if i try to get another one sprayed it'll never match the rest of the job, so i'll have a multi coloured car again. it is going to be a regret for some time. think i'll get the lights ordered and fitted and then leave the extereour for a while. and then when i get bored of it i'll put the big spoiler back on.
  10. really can not argue with that.
  11. you still painting it white? all in good time the spoiler will return......watch this space!
  12. that is a ****ing steel. i was going to get skins for the intereour from the same guy (i think) were going for £65, but i don't no weather to risk it, cos chances are i won't be able to find a similar red.
  13. well chewy's looking at getting a quick sale for the proton sometime this week. so he should be taking the clica of your hands hopefully by the weekend. so just persuade mark to buy a £300 banger out of the celica money, and then hey presto, job done, he can use student finance to buy a starlet in january, and then still sell the £300 banger for about £300! and you get to keep your zed!
  14. spray cost £400, was the whole outside of the car, didn't go under the bonnet, but did however do inside the doors where some bits were showing through. it was a mates rates job. its not perfect, but i really can't winge for £400. i think its only a matter of time before i put the big spoiler back on. its all sprayed up and ready. think i mite get some of the crystal rear lights fitted first, and then eventually get round to putting it back on.
  15. the only thing i've got to go by is the on off button on the right pod.
  16. when i bought the car the orrigional stearing wheel had being removed so therfore the cruse control unit was also missing. assuming nothing else has being removed (how would i check if it had?) how big of a job is it to install the unit in the dash?
  17. still got a resistor bodged instead of the knock sensor. other than that i don't think anything actually "needs" doing to it.
  18. that looks the dogs *****cks! wouldn't like to have a go at fitting though (and i'm an electrician) . i can imagine it being a chew on, and if anything goes wrong then it could give yourself more work, or a very expensive repair. i have being tempted by a turbo timer and remote engine start myself so let me know how you get on.
  19. this looks very nice, did you just smooth over the plastic trim?
  20. this sounds tempting, however allso sounds expensive, don't really fancy taking the box back out.
  21. the seats wern't a retrim, i got them from dave rolly (rolly being his alias) he got a new interiour so was getting rid of the red set, so i snapped it right up at the price he wanted. I'm after some info myself on a retrim myself, i want the rest of the grey tweed replacing with some red leather. i've seen that zedcentre sell a kit that comes pre cut and custom made with choice of colours and materials. but it is excess of £500 if i remember corectly. however i have also seen that ebay have a company that do the same kit in a similar choice and thats just £65 pluss postage. it includes the door trims, centre console, glove box, stearing wheel under bit, and both rears. however there matching seats are about £700. I was tempted by the ebay kit, and to just have a go at fitting it myself. but theres allways the chance of it going tits up, and allso the chance of the colour not exactly matching thus ruining the effect.
  22. smooth spoiler sounds tempting, what would the damage be? does it need blending in, or does it just bolt on?
  23. would i need to fit new sensors or just extend the signal wires over?
  24. can't be chewed getting a new one and getting it sprayed up. its either off or on unfortunatly. I'm quite eager to hear funky si's oppinion....
