  2. well you could allways stop being a girl and tax the beast, its only £100 and you'll be paying for insurance and m.o.t for the rest of the year so you may aswell drive it. rain wind or snow it'll still be fun as hell!
  3. The next Jap North East meet as some of you may know is the 26th of September http://www.japnortheast.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/41184-jne-sunday-26th-sept/? Its at their usual place at the nissan sports and social club in Sunderland. last time was a good selection of cars, but only a few zed's. Would be nice to get a good few of us over this time. i'm also game for a convoy for anyone heading north to sunderland. Steve.
  4. want lots of photo's boys!
  5. took the words outa my mouth
  6. but if i get some from halfords, they'll probably cost me about £15 and i need two for the indicators and for the rear, where as if i get them from ebay, both pairs will cost me under tenner. i tried to fit the indicators the other day because my front nearside lamp has blown, and then found the lamps provided wouldn't fit, so i just sort of wedged it in and then fitted the new indicator, but then it started raining so didn't fit the other side, so i've got odd indiators. i would go and change the other one but then that means i'll have one white indicator on the front and not a left one, and i feel that would piss off some people.
  7. unfortunatly i'm going to have to give it a miss Brett, the Mrs is making me do scarbrough instead. However i'm more than game for the JNE meet, should have new lights fitted by then and maybe even a rim refurb if i can be squeezed in.
  8. yeah there is some sort of gasket with the knew lights. like a foam rubber thing. i was hopping it would suffice so that i didn't have to scrape off all the tar and try to reseal them. it really is a messy job. Going to have to wait though untill the new lamps come till i can get them fitted. bit gutted about that, could of done them today.
  9. well dude, i have no idea where your house is, but give us a post code, and we'll see who we can get game!
  10. I bought some new crystal clear indicators and some of the crystal rear lights. the indicators were the only ones that supplied lamps, and they were orange (which deffied the point of being crystal clear) and don't fit. and the rear lights didn't supply any, so i still can't fit them. My existing indicators lamps are a bit of a wierd fitting, the pins are slightly different hights, but opposite each other. and only have one point of conection in the holder. was just wondering if i can get the silver lamps to fit the holders, or do i need to get new holders. also is the black grease stuff on the rear lights really nescecary?
  11. YESSS! do that. how close is close pete?
  12. sorry there is more, i havn't completley read this. what a fool. who's happy with where? i think heartlepool would be a happy middle for midlesbrough and newcastle (sort of with a little byest towards midlesbrough). or any other sugestions?
  13. right. so is that 4 of us? any sugestions on place an time? talk about leaving it till the last minuite.
  14. i havn't been added to this :(
  15. whats the crack with this then? there can't just be the 3 of us, i know its JAE and everything but there must be more of a turn out. what about Brett? or Paul?
  16. I'm 23, and i pay £750 with admiral, on a 1990 japspec manual TT. only declared the rims. but thats fully comp with protected no claims.
  17. well i'm in Teesside fella so thats a bit far out. The guy is from a company called safe and sound, he seems to know what he's talking about. its adding on to my Toad Ai606, so he's an aproved toad installer. so my guess would be it'll come with warrenty so if it goes tits up then he'll have to be sorting it out. are you saying the £80 is to high? i'm going to check about the warrenty before i book it, and also see what other toys he can fit to the alarm. he said he could do total closure for £70, but i thought that was a bit harsh.
  18. how come the lights come on when you start it? i've found a quote, its £80 to have it fitted and that comes with the remote stop feature aswell. think i'm going to go through with it but mainly just for the remote feature other than the start, i supose its not as good as a timer, but it will do the job.
  19. That may be the shape i'm after, it does look lovely. have you got any from a full side profile? Is yours SWB or LWB?
  20. wounded, how far a drive is it? lets say from Teesside.
  21. sounds like a plan to me. anyone know when the next JNE meet is? that i think should be attended aswell. are any of you guys doing JAE, i'm tempted to do a day trip? any idea on how far a drive it is?
  22. don't supose anyone fancies a saturday day trip????
