  1. Does anyone have one? I've just dropped the pan off mine and found someone has butchered the strainer to remove the filter (cowboys) So I need a new one. Incidentally, I bought a little hand pump from Demon Tweeks and got all the fluid out through the dipstick hole first so the sump was dry. Nice. A new one from Nissan is about £35 so its not too bad for the part brand new. The sump was a bit sludgy, only a bit and the magnet is nice and clean so it may be OK.

I used a bit of brute force to get it off once the bolts had been removed.....Just eased it off all the way round with some gardening gloves on for grip! Careful not to be too violent and bend the bodywork though!!! Then use Meths to get the sticky stuff off and some Duck tape to seal the holes up as a temp fix until you get it replaced! I'm in the same boat!
  3. I'll just say hello at this point - Not been for a while and nice to see original board members still around!
  4. Its only taken 6 years!!!! Pics of my ar

I wouldnt ghost it - the registry will get in an awful mess.....Install the O/S and then link the 2 machines together with some network cable or lap link and copy any data files across - Any applications you must re-install. You run the risk of the laptop having all sorts of problems otherwise.
  6. what temperature and how long did you leave them in the oven?

agreed - most likely damp - give it a good run and get it properly warmed up and see if that cures it.
  8. A picture is worth a thousand words - Thanks. I have to ask - what flavour crisps are they? Most important.
  9. I would second the PTU - if after leaving it for about 30-60 minutes, the car works again. Its heat related and you would need a new one, or get that one repaired.
  10. I think the N/A is 220 bhp. cant remember 0-60 - around 7 seconds I think.
  11. Can anyone shed any light (heh) on what type of bulb this takes so I can put a stronger one in Thanks.
  12. This off an F1 website..... Toyota's performance since it entered Formula One in 2002 does not suggest that Ferrari has a lot to learn from it. In those three seasons, Ferrari has won six from six World Championships and Toyota has yet to make the podium. Toyota has a 'supercar', using the name 'Supra', under development for the time when it is successful in Formula One. If that is the case, anyone like to guess when the new Supra will appear? Shame eh?
  13. I bought all my parts for £85 and fitted it myself in an afternoon - I wasnt happy swapping my old oil cooler to be a auto box cooler. All the stuff I bought was MOCAL from ThinkAuto.com
  14. Dave, any chance you can send me the bump stops for the rear hatch I got off you a few weeks back?
  15. Theres no real trick to spraying well, apart from having the right equipment, and having a practice first on something you dont need anymore! While keeping the same distance from the object to spray, move your body, while keeping you arm fixed in position - walk along the car at a slow pace while spraying in straight lines, overlapping slightly each pass. By keeping your arm fixed and walking you then keep the distance of the spray gun relative to the surface all the time and you get an even coat of paint. Like I said, practice first on a skip or a wall or something!!! With the right spray gun, which creates a fan of paint, rather than a ball of paint, its not a difficult as it sounds, you cant compare it to aerosol stuff as its far superior. Unless you can find aerosols that spay in a fan pattern
  16. My wipers squeaked like mad, then I changed them for newer ones (they werent that old anyway) and they still squeaked....I tried polish, newspaper and wd40. Nothing helped, in the end I took the wiper arms off and then reseated them - perfectly silent now. It was driving me mad. But it was a 10 minute job to do them both.
  17. I've found slightly higher psi settings then stock improve handling no end.
  18. Can anyone give any words of advice if buying this spoiler to fit onto my Z, as in what condition it comes in and how much prep work was needed before it could be painted up and fitted. Did it fit well or did it need bending or excessive filler to make it fit flush? Is it just easier to have the back end made flush with the perspex panel? Thanks in advance.

My Ecsta 712 's by Kumho look quite respectable!
  20. Be careful it doesnt interfere with the approved one (if fitted) as if it gets nicked then it may invalidate your insurance as the approved one has been interfered with and doesnt work as designed....I wouldnt bother, but its your choice. Its like fitting a different radio in your brand new car, if you have an electrical problem then it gets the blame and no warrenty.....
  21. Unless its Thatcham approved, then theres no point. Period.
  22. The Z centre sell an exact replica of the standard one in fibreglass - the only difference is it bonds on instead of clips and bolts....
  23. A bit too much bodywork needed for that one - gets V expensive on labour.
  24. Well, its off and just a good bit of pulling with some garedning gloves shifted it, got to get off the sticky tape and then decide what to do. Preferably, I would like a spoiler that isnt in your face, covers the same area the old oem one did and so hides all the holes the old one used so I dont have to have any work done hiding them, and is easy to fit! Not much eh?! I'm not really in the mood to put the same oem style one back on though as for all the hassle, it may as well look different!!! So - I want a cheap, good and easy to fit spoiler!! Anyone got any ideas?
  25. How long did it take you to get it off and how many friends did you need to help?!
