  1. A Big Mac with Fries and a Regular - No, make that a Large Sprite. Cheers Mate.
  2. I do a very good line of tyres and exhausts - all with a shiny 'Bilky' logo on them - No tat.
  3. Yeah - just undo the drain bolt on the sump and let a load come out - then top it back to the right level. Simple.
  4. I thought mine where stuck - the trick is when you have the nut off - to push down hard at the end of the arm and pull up at an angle from the other side - mine came off in seconds and I was amazed - until then I'd tried all sorts and nothing would budge it.
  5. Yes, they are the same.
  6. Be aware that you will need the wheel alignment doing as it affects the camber - and this is NOT adjustable at the front so you will start eating your tyres in short order - You can buy a kit but its not cheap. This is probably why you have been advised not to do it - Isnt the ZX low enough for you already? Speed bumps will become a major problem.
  7. Dunno if you have done this but have you changed to speed sensor? Sorry if this is an ongoing thing and you've already done it.
  8. You may find due to the high oil level its seeped into the turbo or out of the engine and now you burning it off - wait and see how it goes, but try to get the oil level down to the right mark - its not a good thing to be overfull because of the increased oil pressure can lead to seal fails.....

Best to try a water pressure test when cold
  11. There is a locating point for the steering column under the steering shroud in the cockpit - undo the plastic cover and check right by the column - there are some bolts you can undo and move the metal holders either side of the column up tight to the column then re-do the bolts again. It MAY be that - just a thought. The oil senders are notorious for not working properly.
  12. I'm sure there will be a way of 'breaking' the sensor - a big magnetic filed to naff its electronics up.......Or get your number plates from another country where they dont have the chips in them
  13. SGT C - wont you share your cooling tips with us?
  14. Would a carpet adhesive work?
  15. Go to PC world and buy another - 3com or something like that - they always work fine.
  16. Sometimes all the force you try cant start the bolt off - see if you can give it a sudden sharp bang to get it loose - use the bar to get a lot of tension in it - then whack the bar with a hammer or something to try and jar it loose. Sometimes that works!

The Hicas works off the Boss the wheel attaches to - most aftermarket wheels dont allow the cruise to work unless a new Boss is found and fits OK - A few people have found where to buyt them - I read that someone managed to make his own buttons away from the steering wheel - try a search and see if you can find it - Otherwise it may be better to take the standard wheel back - at least then everything will work!
  18. Improved service read reduced costs on the Royal Mails side. Simple.
  19. Yes.
  20. Phil at C&S Wood is a top bloke - he's sorted me out at short notice a couple of times and always does a bang up job too. He wont do work thats not needed and I've noticed a couple of things he's done for free while he's been doing the other work. Highly recommend him.
  21. Is the fuel pump OK?
  22. IF you are taking them out then you can get them sonically cleaned.
  23. Guys - the inner side of the disc was corroded. Fair enough. I think the pads on that side have become stuck in the caliper.....
  24. discs are fine - no corrosion - pads are still OK.....I reckon they are trying it on - its going to Kwik Fit for a quick look and if its OK - which it sounds like they only fail it if the pads are grinding then all hell will break loose! Andy - when can we do the rear hatch off the grey 300 you have?
  25. Not mine! My brothers been told his brake discs AND pads are illegal and have failed his MOT on them - I have my doubts - can you fail on them if they are providing the correct braking force and its even?
