  10. No pills - just a choccy bar - yummy.
  11. I'm from Preston way - as is Andy Duff I used to work at Champion in Upton - small world
  12. If the thermostat was failed then either the water will take ages to heat up and wont regulate itself properly - or you engine will overheat. The temp sensor for the ECU and the sender for the dash are two seperate items. The one for the dash is the little black one - try giving it a good clean and see how it goes.
  13. what do you need to do?
  14. Which is very expensive.
  15. I'll post up if I notice any positive effects as the week goes on.
  16. John - yes - in front of the existing engine oil cooler. All the fittings i needed are listed - I didnt need anything else. Just been for a good run and its working a treat. When the weather improves I'll get some pictures together and post them up - I got drenched this morning!
  17. I phoned up think automotive 020 8568 1172 I bought :- 10 Row cooler 230mm wide 3.8 bsp Male - 46.45 45.45 3/8 female 90 degree for 3/8 hose x2 - 1.90 each 3.80 Oil hose 100R6 3/8 x3 - 5.37 / metre 16.11 Pair cooler brackets x2 - 2.94 each 5.88 Jubilee clips x4 - 63p each 2.52 These prices are the full price - he gave me a discount of 15% on all the stuff and the delivery was £8.95 - Came 2 days later no problems. I connected mine in front of the existing oil cooler - I think a 10 row is plenty big enough and anything more may well interfere with the air box. I created a bracket by sawing 2 lengths off one of the brackets and taking the 3 bolts off the exisitng cooler and bolting my cut pieces underneath - then I used 2 full brackets and bolted them together to form a width that he cooler would sit on - then I bolted the whole lot together - This does leave the cooler sitting on some raised bolts so I cut a bicycle inner tube to length so it sits on that for some protection. Its all nice and sturdy and worked a treat - it'll also be easy to remove as well. I didnt fancy any drilling and you can control how far forward you want the cooler to sit. I left a nice gap between it and the existing cooler so enough air gets round it. Like I say - allow plenty of time to curse and swear at the pain of routing the new pipes but it is possible - I can sort some pictures out if you need any help! Its a reasonably easy job overall - just allow yourself a weekend just in case you get delayed. The pipes you need to connect to are easy to get to once you have removed the splash guard under the car - I left the exiting stuff there as there was no need to remove them - they just wont be used anymore! If enough people want I can do a write up on how I did it.... Enjoy.
  18. :hyper: Just finished fitting my auto box cooler - was a pain in the neck to route the pipes but found a gap - quite pleased and i only cost me £86 for the whole lot with vat, delivery and all the fittings.
