Time Attack Round 6 Brands Hatch. Sep 29.
Sunday Sep 29 sees the FINAL Round of this seasons series. Its at Brands Hatch. I know its some time ahead but Im putting it up now so its on the forum. Will Bob and James both be there???? I hope so but there is Donington first. Its been a blistering season for them both with painful excursions off track and more than a little mechanical aggro. Costs have been mounting up at an eye watering rate for both drivers all season. Lets hope the money and the luck both hold till the end of the season http://www.brandshatch.co.uk/calendar/2013/september/modified-live.aspx And for those of you who dont know much about the time Attack series/format..................... http://www.timeattack.co.uk/ I will be there... and hopefully some southern members too:balloon:

Time Attack Round 5. Split Dates!!
The Time Attack circus has a bit of a rest in August and then kicks off again in Sept. for Round 5. There are two dates for round 5........ one for Silverstone and one for Donington.Park.......Read on. Sunday Sept 8th sees the Pro Classes at Silverstone as part of the Traxx show. Sat 14th Sep is the date and venue for the Club Class competitors at Doninton Park Both our 300ZX drivers run in club class so they wont be at Silverstone but at Donington. So if you are going to Traxx Show then you can watch the Pro classes in action along with all the usual Traxx attractions:cool2: Im going and have booked a track session for myself in my orange and black slicktop. It wont be worth watching me tho cos Im old n slow:wacko: At the moment I expect both 300s to be out at Donington and Im sure nearer the time the drivers will have an update for those who are interested.. Donington event does clash with JAE. Such is life And here are the links to the events......................http://www.traxshows.co.uk/ .......................http://www.donington-park.co.uk/events/2013/09/14/saloon-car-race-festival-brscc/

Ooh i so would if i had the cash right now
whatever engine it has doesnt affect my opinion that it is a huge and horrendous piece of junk, with nothing at all going for it. Worth £150,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, which is what it will fetch as a weigh in.

Scarborough Meet Aug 25th
Im usually the only 300 there. I am only just getting my car on the road this weekend so not been yet this year. Its a bit rough n ready at the York Raceway. Its not very far from Elvington actually. But its run by a great bunch of people and they separate the RWYB cars into classes which means you always run against similar types of car. Im in class D which is RWD. Non Turbo. Over 2 litre. TTs run in a separate turbo class.. Every class comes out in turn and you park back in your own pit lane ready for the next run. Launch area is similar to Elvington and the far end of the concrete is quite loose n rough. Not a lot to see/do as a spectator IMO but I always enjoy the day. http://www.yorkraceway.org.uk/

Scarborough Meet Aug 25th
Well I know some years ago when we had a mobile holiday home at Cayton Bay we always avoided going in to town on the Bank holiday due to no parking!! The kids used to moan as I drove all along the front looking for a space Things may have changed now.

Scarborough Meet Aug 25th
Well Its Bank Holiday Sunday. Scarborough might be a tad busy. I will probably be quite close if all goes well as Im planning a day out to York Raceway for some 1/4 miles!

Speed sensor repair thread/info.???
Cheers mate. Can the faq come and do it all for me????? Its difficult to know where to start. As you know the car was put together from a collection of bits from several breakers and lots of new stuff. The speedo didnt work when I put it on the road last year .... so its on my list now to fix. Then I can see how fast/slow I am at Silverstone/Traxx this year:blushing:

NA to Turbo shell - clutch swap problem - I have no nuts!
No Im not. Both TT and NA systems work well. But you need to keep all the NA bits working together IE pedal and master cyl And likewise the TT pedal needs the booster and TT master cykinder. The slave cylinder on the box is the same I believe. TBH I dont think you actually need all the extra bottles/reservoirs. No doubt someone will give you an answer on exactly what you can do away with

Speed sensor repair thread/info.???
Someone somewhere posted up about repairing/resoldering a speed sensor. (possibly Jeff) I have tried a couple of searches but not found it. Anyone know where this info is??? Im fed up with not having a working speedo and my MOT man might notice it although he didnt last year and its possibly not part of the test anyway.
-
What did you do to your zed today?
I made a start on some Pre MOT checks.:sweatdrop: Fitted a proper passenger seat and some inertia reel belts. Found a blown bulb on the fog light in the rear cluster.:blushing: Will carry on tomorrow and get it booked in ASAP. Its not been on the road since Oct last year:blush:

Help shopping please.
Subframe will move under load.. ie when driving braking cornering. So needs fixing before any other issues It will be adding to you wheel catching issues maybe and also the shuddering under braking. Im with Misty blue on his guess that your front tension rods are fckd like your subframe ones. They are the same type of bush. Pics are worth hundreds of words!!!!! It makes the job of trying to help soooooo much easier
