TOTB XII - July 27th-28th
Well I have been with Bob for the past two years. I know the layout of the place and the format of the event. so I can oversee the whole effort if required. I can help with organizing and help individuals with event tips etc for anyone who isnt 100% sure. Its quite a relaxed weekend and nobody should feel intimidated by it. Its one of the last true "clubman" events although there are a handful of "pro" cars/teams too. Its not 100% given that I will compete but I will 100% be there. Dont think.... Just do it. as Bob says we need a team to do well individually. It doesnt matter if more then 5 Zeds enter it just means we can have a choice for the final team.. Great idea! JFDI!!!

Catalytic converter scrap value?
Nissan original cats from a 300ZX are worth goood money. Probably best to get quotes from a couple of specialist buyers Prices fluctuate so past prices are not particularly relevant.

what car do you most regrett selling?
Difficult to decide... My black RS 500 Sierra Cosworth. Bought brand new when they were released. I traded in my Moonstone normal coworth to get it. I only had it 8months before I sold it to fund a new business venture. I should never have sold my works rally Replica Mini Cooper S . See my avatar...

Adjusting drivers side window
The adjusting screws and their locknuts are located on the bottom of the two window guides at the front and rear of the window. You can see them when you remove the door card. Screwing them in or out alters the angle of the guides thus altering the glass. Turn them and you will see the top of the window glass move in or out depending which way you turn them. Simples!!

Leaking subframe bush
Personally I wouldnt want to drive very far or very fast in a 300ZX with a knackered subframe bush. If an MOT tester sees leaking fluid he will fail it.

Painting my antiroll bars

VOSA VIC check + Barcelona Banger Rally
Yes. Me. Ossian has already given you the link and some info.Just follow it all in detail. Make sure the driver has proper insurance cover or make arrangments to trailer it there. Be prepared for a long wait for an apointment. Around 4 weeks in my case. There is a list of testing stations. Its time and date specific. You wont get to view the test ..its done behind closed doors !. It only took 5/10 minutes once he had the vehicle in his workshop bay. I had to drive it in then leave. He came in to the waiting room when it was done and asked me to drive it out again as he couldnt get the immobilizer to work HTH

whats my car worth if i broke it?
What do you think its worth. A... in bits. B... as a car. Have you broken one before? Do you "value" your own time ? Have you got plenty of spare time? Like 40 hours Have you really read what Jeff is saying. He has been very polite about it. The real truth is that the average "near stock" car in less than perfect condition is worth next to nothing. There are LOTS of people breaking cars both as a living(Scrapyards/breakers) plus lots of people doing it as a one off at home both on this forum and elsewhere. The number of cars is now declining .The values/prices are at rock bottom both as cars and parts. Nobody can give you definitive figures but either way be prepared for a substantial loss in comparison to what you have paid out. And be prepared to wait a long time to get it all sold.

braces
A properly designed strut brace is a useful addition. I was referring to these bits under the car.
-
braces
IMO.......IMO....IMO A total waste of time and money. If they were in any way useful. neccessary or desirable they would have been around for the last 15 years. Major companies in Japan and the US would supply them and half the forum cars would have them fitted Serious racers/drag cars and track cars use roll cages. The rest of us dont need anything. Not even worth the effort of sending an email cos the reply will be full of Bsh*it and b**llox Final answer:bored:

rear toe arm help please
When you fit adjustable rear toe arms to an NA subframe there is no need to use the camber bolts. Good quality plain high tensile ones are fine. Final answer. End of discussion:closedeyes:

Its actually the other way round... We do it differently to the rest of Europe. They have numbers after names. Postal areas usually have numbers only. and in some countries the town and streeet order are reversed
