TOTB XII - July 27th-28th
IMO its not worth going on Sat unless you are competing or acting as "team support" in some way As Bob says many of the top runners wont bother or if they do it will only be a single run to check a setting etc. As Noel says on Sunday there will be the competition proper plus some trade stands(not brilliant but OKish!) There is a rough timetable of track open. slalom open etc and a cut off time for the finals but the whole day is very informal and not to a strict timetable/format. Catering is basic and a bit limited... burgers + icecream!!:glare: Toilets are even more basic........Its ALL portaloos:blink: TOTB has been running for a decade but it still is a kind of "underground/Alternative motorsport "type of event. Be warned there is not much of interest other than cars so family members etc who are not dedicated car nuts will soon get bored. Having said all that I will be there with Bob for the third year running as I find it fascinating and addictive.:punk:

What sort of meets would you like to attend?
no not at all. Having the club as part of your social life is one of the top reasons for being in a club.

What sort of meets would you like to attend?
Yes you will.... you just have!! And its just what I was saying ....see my post above yours

What sort of meets would you like to attend?
It is right to ask the question. I dont think anybody wishes to dismiss quiet 300ZX owning members. The internet has changed the way many of us run our lives and IMO there are many happy and content owners for whom being part of a club and having a great forum(chat room really) like this is simply all they need/want. The DIVERSITY of the members(and by default) the club is one of its great strengths. There will always be "motorsport" owners, show n shine owners, pub meet owners. Weekend away camping owners etc etc and lots of "Just look at the forum" owners. There is always room for improvement and new ideas but as I have said before the club as it is is one VERY GOOD CLUB:yes:

NEO or REO needed
I think part of the problem is the fact that the club has no past/heritage in Motorsport. Its going to take some time to build up a forum section and support. The vast majority of members dont seem to be interested in taking part of even turning up to watch. Even at events like Zedfest not many people go out on track Thats not intended as a criticism or a dig at members. I have tried to publicise what Bob and James are doing and encourage a few more members to come and watch and will continue to do so. But I fully accept that any form of Motorsport will always be a minority interest on this forum

What sort of meets would you like to attend?
Im with you on the static shows... been there and done loads especially in my 240Z days. I just do what I like anyway . whether there are other 300s there isnt important to me. Hence I go up to York RWYB meets I have booked to go to Trax again this year at Silverstone cos you can get a 20 min session on the Grand Prix track for £30. Motorsport has always been at the heart of my car world. My avatar shows me on the Manx Rally in 1972 with my works replica CooperS. at my age now Im a bit more limited ... A few runs up the strip or a 20 min track session is about all I can manage!! There are some good driving roads in the Peak District and as a Zclub organizer I used to do one each year in the Spring.

Time Attack Rnd 4 Oulton Park Jul 20
The Time Attack series move to Oulton Park on Sat Jul 20th. check out this link.................... http://www.timeattack.co.uk/index.php/events/item/51-oulton-park-saturday-20th-july Hopefully this round will see both Bobgenie and Jaffa taking part. I know Bob is virtually ready and Im sure Jimmer and James will be making sure James is ready too. Bob will have the Eurospec team providing assistance on the day and Im sure Jimmer will be doing the sames for James/Jaffa. I will be in the pits also but hopefully with not a lot to do. All club members are welcome to come along and if you are new to Time Attack then I should have time on the day to explain the basics to you. Just catch up with me on the day. Its an exciting format but can look a little odd compared to mainstream racing Sometimes Bob and James have time to chat but please be aware that this is not a given. It can get quite hectic down in the pits:blink: You can book advanced tickets or just turn up on the day and pay at the gate. Any questions... just ask.

car valuation
hmm! Bit of a clash there . Like new! 11 year old tyres.

car valuation
Well the printed guides are just that.... a guide. I can do a free valuation!!! If she is just "thinking" about selling then any "price" anyone comes up with now wont be valid if and when she decides to sell. We buy any car is an accurate "trade cash " price for the car today. It could be worth more..... yep but to whom?? How much more ?? and when??? I hope you get the drift ... or this thread could carry on all nite:blink:

If you wanted proof the countries finished
This country isnt finished and the news you refer to does not prove it is. It is an announcement by some idiots in a building across the channel somewhere. The government here wont alter anything anytime soon. They have six months just to make a reply .... that reply might be...."No-way are we complying with your idiotic request

car valuation
And there is your answer right after your question. Enter the reg on "We buy any car" sight for a bottom trade/cash value.

New man in the family!!!
Although Kane hasnt been on this thread since Feb he is still here. We recently took part in the Great British Greyhound Walk. The local Nottingham one was in Shipley Park, close to my home. My eldest daughther bought him a sponsored bandama for the walk and decorated it as part of the fun Kane has also been saving up his pocket money for being a good boy and treated himself to a new "house collar". Its purple and gold and very bling!!! Enjoy the pics..............................

He has settled very well to home comforts. I got him here................. http://www.rgtmidlands.co.uk/ Judith and John have been very helpful in showing/teaching me how to look after him. Its a big day for him tomorrow as he is taking part in one of the Great British Greyhound walks(Heanor/Shipley Park) ....................http://greatbritishgreyhoundwalk.org.uk/walks/ I might go too but my daughter Leanne and her partner are taking him anyway.... complete with his red bandama.
