  1. ???????????????????? We already have. There were 100 entrants. We couldnt take pics of all of them. We were too busy competing. servicing and generally having a good time:cool2::sweatdrop:
  2. They dont . He has had the brackets done. A powder coat oven runs at 200degrees for 30 mins approx.. Plastic has no chance - - - Updated - - - They dont . He has had the brackets done. A powder coat oven runs at 200degrees for 30 mins approx.. Plastic has no chance
  3. Just use a tap to clean the threads. Its not the powder coaters fault. If you have seen how it works then you would have realised that all thread holes need to be covered. The powder is misted on from the gun with an elactrostatic charge and covers everything it is aimed at I normally just send everything with bolts loosely in the holes. Other bits that dont need doing or large cavities I fill with baking foil
  4. Yep I was talking to Mikey when Noz drove by. I didnt want to leave him out of the photo collection.... but I nearly missed him ..Sorry Noel:blushing: I didnt bother with any pics of Bobs car.... Cos 1. . I have posted loads up already:lol: 2. It looks a bit second hand ATM.
  5. What you need to keep in mind Paul is that in 12 years of TOTB event you are one of only four 300ZXs to have ever taken part. The fact that you were not as quick as some of the others is not important. As a "newbie" to the whole event and quarter miles you give a very good account of yourself. You will soon improve with practice. And your car looks superb BTW Would be even better if my pic was focussed properly. Anyway here is all I took. Not very good really but.......................
  6. To the motor trade these cars are old cheap imported gas guzzlers that very few people want to buy. I dont think the price is too low for a 20 year old car with well over 100000 on the clock. £1500 for cash and no p/x
  7. If You have the turbo pedal and booster you can use that system. It has a different Master cylinder. The NA pedal is a fifferent ratio and works without the booster. If You dont use the NA pedal then I know someone who will buy it off you!!!!! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?171228-NA-clutch-pedal!!!!
  8. It was worth it to see the huge grin on your face all day. i would have spent more time with you but Ben and his guys at Eurospec were at full stretch looking after 5 cars including Bobs so I lent a hand with spoiler changeovers. wheel n tyre changes and fitting some new plugs.:sweatdrop: Bob had a very good day . Ended up third in RWD handling circuit. 5th on the quarter mile with a 11.75 at 130mph. :w00t: He came 3rd in the top speed runs with 153mph but that was well below his best. A small silicon hose blew off at the top end allowing the car to lean out. This happened twice so Bob called it a day before any damage was done. Wisely IMO . I have some pics to post. laterz.....
  9. It used to belong to Tim. Craig David was his forum name. I recognise the Vortex wheels cos I sold them to him. Its a nice car but was used as a daily driver by Tim and it had deteriorated over time. Not in the same league as Roobarbs midnight purple turbo.
  10. At £198 + delivery it is worth asking Mike at MJP if he can do any better.
  11. Where in spain is it?????
  12. Yes but what is the offset on the rear. Thats the important factor in clearance Better to diagnose the real faults first before buying anything. A picture would be helpful.
  13. I know you are trying to tell us as best you can but there are some oddities in the whole scenario. Wheels catching arches.... What offset/size/tyre etc are you running. This might or might not be related to other issues. Juddering under braking??? Not always the brakes that cause this. Rear bearings??? Do you mean the subframe bushes??? Your description suggests this?
  14. Agreed My local Citroen spcialist has one on display in his showroom. Black tho which is a little better
  15. I agree.... however it is a 73/74 Citroen DS21 Pallas and could be worth the same kind of money as your lovely Zed:huh:
  16. Few more plus some other stuff... the 6R4 is one of my fav cars in the series...........................
  17. Both you and James did well considering all the facts. here are a few pics of both cars. My pit wall photos are pretty poor but I hope the pics give you forum members an insight in to what its like and what goes on..........................
  18. 90 degrees!!!! Fekk me thats nearly boiling point. Just use some Areiel liquid or similar and a normal 40degree synthetic wash.
  19. HaHa!! It takes more than money Lee:yes:
  20. Eurospec are fielding/supporting 5 cars themselves. Bobs car is part of that team. They will be entered under some random name as branded tuner teams are not allowed .
  21. And here are a couple of shots of the damage repair exercise, With 4 cars in each garage there wasnt a lot of room to work. This wasnt helped by the circuit/organizers allowing garage access to all the Joe publics present:glare: Check out those legs!!!!! .....................
  22. Agreed Si. In my experience not all suppliers will tell you that you need a base/ground coat and this needs to be the correct shade of white. They will just sell the pearl coat. Also the viscosity and number of pearl coats you lay down alters the final result. Remember too that nearly all pearls give a diferent result on metal or non metal panels. Even experienced sprayers struggle with that.
  23. Yep 13 posts in 6 years isnt a lot.!!! This is a really nice forum. A bit of banter. Plenty of tech assistance. Pleny of stuff for sale. Usually some interesting "build" threads Some really good traders Our new Motorsport section with Noel as Chief organizer is just taking shape. Its never going to be massive but its a start. It makes Zclub forum look lkke a funeral parlour most of the time and as you know unless its S30 orientated you might as well not bother!!! One of the more remarkable aspects of the club is how former owners just stick around and join in long after their car is gone. We currently have a few members with "health issues". Talking about it does sometimes help. On a personal note I have "retired" fully now so you wontfind me at Manor Bank road any more on a Friday. My daughter Leannne has taken over my role tho:biggrin:
  24. Hi Paul, Im only known here as "Slick Pete" so now Noel will know who you are referring to!!! I read on Z Club about your latest round of troubles. Hope you are on the mend soon. I was talking earlier to Noel and Im sure he will see this post soon. If not I will PM him for you. Speak soon Pete
  25. Once you have paid/entered you can do as little or as much as you want.. just one run on the quarter mile up to as many runs as you can fit in on quarter mile . flying kilometer and giant slalom(5 attempts max on the Sunday I think?) You can do a combi run of quarter mile and km top speed or you can do them individuallyIIRC Whether you are competitive or not doesnt matter. So far those who have entered have just done so as an individual. The team bit if it happens will come after that. You dont need to join the team bit Prices are all here.......................... http://www.totb.co.uk/cms/buy-tickets.html
