Thought I'd pop in and say hi
Hi mate the firebird is slowly taking shape too now, I had the carb rebuild a couple of weeks ago, and it's booked in for someone to come round and set everything up next week, along with getting the brakes sorted, then it's off for some welding then MOT time hopefully!

Thought I'd pop in and say hi
Hello everyone, been a bit absent from the forum for quite some time now. Life's been a bit tough since last year and trying to restore some normality. My Z hasn't moved since probably November? But I'm working through a list of jobs and want it to be ready to bring to Coventry! Hope everyone is well. Looking forward to a catch up with the forum and members! :)

I've voted for it on more than one occasion  lovely Z.

Rust inside the rear arch & brake pipes.
Wow great work Dewi, glad the donor panel is doing the trick, I've had no experience with body or rust repair so wouldn't know where to start with a job like that! I've found a boot trim for you too, I'll send a pic through tomorrow.

Project Purple
Wow Si you really have been busy. It's nice sorting cars out bit by bit going through all the niggles. I loved that car but once i bought my twin turbo the love for it just disappeared and it sat on the drive not moving for 6 months. Good to see some new life being breathed into it now. No idea about the gaitors. I've had enough zeds to know the difference between the two but probably just screwed a new centre console trim in from another car. There was a sticky relay in that alarm box behind the dash which dean mentioned, I guess that isn't playing up any more and it was never a problem when the car was in weekly use. I look forward to seeing the car progress, I was going to twin turbo manual it but only got as far as taking out the shitty autobox. Will be an awesome Z when finished

New member, old car
Welcome to the club and looking forward to seeing the car transform. All I took off were coilovers and wheels, so change them and you'll have the same cool car :)
-
Have I got the wrong coilovers
Looks pretty normal to me Neil, mine were the same. Just get them on :)

2 breakers to get rid of and unit clearout
I'm moving out of my current unit so will be having a bit of a clearout to make the move easier. I also have two NA LWB breakers currently in which will be going to the big Z scrapyard in the sky before the end of the month. Panel cuts available if anyone needs a repair panel. If there's anything you need just ask, piles of trims, engine parts, wheels, body panels, you name it it's probably here, some aftermarket stuff too.

New Asda being built where we live...Looks like a zed in artist impression...
Non-parents won't understand how difficult it is to get a young child in a seat when parked in a narrow space. So the wider bays really are useful so you can get the doors open to their full extent. If they didn't exist then there would be a lot more supermarket dings! Shit loads more! I've confronted several people without kids before in a nice manner but this is always replied with a torrent of abuse and people get aggressive so i walk off and lose. One bloke didn't seem to like being called a double denim b*stard, but it's the best thing I could think of at the time. Maybe he should have looked in the mirror before going out

Rolling rear wheel arch lip
Going to watch some videos on the net and pick up some tips. The car is cringe-worthy on the back roads, horrible scraping noise I'm surprised the tyres are OK!

Rolling rear wheel arch lip
I'll be doing mine this week Dan, wanted to get it done this weekend but just run out of time!

making a z launch ?
Last time I launched my Z I was up against a mate in his supercharged R8. And I melted the Z1 paddle clutch to the Z1 flywheel. Lol

Top Radiator Hose near Oxford
I could have had one delivered to your door in the morning... bit late now though!

No booooost
Yes Jeff I swapped it over with the AC one, I had a battery fail so it was an old one I had kicking around that I had charged overnight which maybe didn't have full charge, I charged it up again the next night and the light wasn't on at all for the Coventry trip.

No booooost
I'll get a boost leak check done this week so hopefully that will find it. When driving everything sounds normal, there's plenty of aftermarket bits so the Z1 turbos are very audible, I did get 0.4 bar when I was near home so the varying boost theory stands to reason Joel.
