Well it's been a while coming but finally got my new bumper fitted. Wanted a change from the scarab for a while to freshen up the car a bit. Lost some enthuZiasm with it recently but love it again now so gonna put more effort in on the jobs that need doing! :lol: So now have a genuine 99-spec bumper with Proudear splitter blended in - used to be on Ash's green Z. Still not crazy on how far the splitter sticks out but it's certainly growing on me and makes it unique. And yesterday I managed to get pics of both my cars together - waited a long time to do it and it was a combination of me not being at work, the neighbours out so I could nick their drive lol, no motorbikes in the way and daylight that made it possible :lol:

Not yet mate, well the new bumper is fitted now but it always seems to be dark when I get home after work! And I don't do boring photos so maybe this weekend I'll get out and take some just for you :)

My Z has looked like this for a few days now... The old scarab bumper is sold and gone, picking the new bumper up from the bodyshop tomorrow so pics to follow. Then I've just got to hope I like it! lol

It's a tough decision but it was made easy by certain factors. It's literally a 20 minute drive from home which is great for me and I like spending time with fellow zedders that I've known for years and meeting new people. However the price just kills it for me, id gladly attend a different show if we had a club stand instead of JAE, as already been said it seems like JAE has lost it's appeal somewhat over the years. So for that reason - I'm out. But if we had a stand there I might have my arm twisted dependent on monies at the time.

Welcome Ben, what you really need is a scarab front bumper on your Z. :yes:

I removed my front bumper tonight as it's off to someone else this week. Took about 5 minutes. Depending on how much factory stuff has been put back on yours after they've fitted the abflug you'll have 4x 10mm bolts under the nose panel, two 10mm nuts holding the bumper to wing - remove the side lights to access them and you'll need an extension and a deep reach socket, then there should be a cross head screw holding the back edges of the bumper up to the wings. There are other brackets that fit near the wings but mine was the same as princekings and there was no brackets there on my aftermarket bumper.

Cheers mate yeah it's almost all new except the wings which are the original ones, it still needs some lining up and stuff but it's getting there :yes: And yeah it's the 99 spec I showed you before, been umming and arring over it for ages and decided to bite the bullet!

Nothing really to update on my Z other than the scarab bumper is coming off and my new front bumper is at the bodyshop getting painted. 99 spec with built in splitter, hope I can pull the look off with my car! Been spending my spare time on my Pontiac, here's a before and after pic of how it's changed in the past couple of weeks!

10 months for my current one. But had Zeds since 2006

I've wanted one for years but as you say there aren't many about! So I imported my own from Canada. Not on the road until next year though, but it turns 40 years old then so it'll be free road tax :)

Haha oops not updated that for a while. That Z is long gone. Now got a black forged twin turbo Z and a firebird :)

Wow, late delivery or what!! I sold a Pulsar once and the guy didn't collect with his truck until 3:30am! Wanted me to leave it in the Asda car park down the road with the key on top of the wheel - no chance pal!

Haha a TT engine is about the only thing I haven't got!
