AdamS Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Hi All, After wanting to buy a 300zx since the mid 90's think it's about time I tried a bit harder to find one. The only other zx I have owned was the amazing wedge of the Sunny coupé zx, which I ended up selling to get a pickup. Last jap car I had was a Honda fn2 championship white edition which I sold to buy a van for work. Hey there seems to be a pattern forming here, anyway I have a van and family wagon GD1Jazz that is for the kids and lady of the house and I really need a toy something to cherish and enjoy. Prices of the 300zx seem to be on the rise but I'm sure a well looked after z32LWB 2+2 TT manual will be worth it. Not had chance yet to view any yet (thats my new years resolution sorted) Just seen this on PistonHeads come and wondered if it had any history with the forum: 300zx Z32 TT manual Anyone recognise it: Will check out all the FAQ section now to get up to speed. Hoping that 2016 brings me at last a 300zx. Merry Christmas and happy new year. Adam. Quote
Gaz 300 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Welcome Adam and if you watch gazwoz s threads here he will have some very nice jap imports coming in 2016. Quote
Baz Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Welcome Adam. I've seen that Z on Facebook, it did belong to a guy called John on here but it's changed dramatically since he sold it. Good luck with your search! Quote
groover Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Welcome to the club Adam, ive not seen that one before and personally wouldnt pay that much for someone elses idea of a modded zed, however getting a real low mileage virtually unmolested zed imported is another matter as i concur with my colleague above  Quote
AdamS Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 watch gazwoz s threads here he will have some very nice jap imports coming in 2016. Yep spotted that thanks for the welcome. Quote
Alic Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Are you looking for a pristine car you can just pick up and drive? Or do you want to personalise/modify it to your liking? Most people in the club always have an itch to improve something on their car. Obviously the piston heads one it very good condition and just had a respray, but you are paying more for it. You could choose to buy one around £4000 which would be mechanically sound and be a canvas for you to build on, but it depends what you want in the car. Quote
Mondo Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Mark Derby will know all about that white car as the adverts state that Automodz have done the bulk of the work on it. Quote
AdamS Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 Welcome to the club Adam, ive not seen that one before and personally wouldnt pay that much for someone elses idea of a modded zed Yes its something I was taking into consideration, would much rather have a stock looking motor with a just some mods to help release a few more ponys. Thanks for the welcome, Im looking forward to the search. Quote
AdamS Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 Mark Derby will know all about that. Yes I had seen that and his business is close to me. So I'm sure if I can find a 300 it will end up at his place. Quote
AdamS Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 Most people in the club always have an itch to improve something on their car. Yep I'm like most people in the club. I tend to keep my motors looking very stock with just engine and handling mods. Quote
RichardS Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Hi and welcome to the club Adam! Richard:thumbup: Quote I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

AdamS Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 That white 300zx is giving concerns to other would be buyers Adam so maybe give it a wide birth mate, https://www.facebook.com/groups/215788968551866/?fref=nf Thanks for the heads up. One to give a wide birth, I was suspect after contacted them via PistonHeads, something just didn't seem right. Still looking forward to finding something no rush though. Quote
AdamS Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 Well Mark kent shed a bit of light on the car sounds like its a someone does a bit of car dealing who has taken it in px. I do think it's overpriced and might be hiding something seems strange that someone would take all the trouble of finishing it and not sticking with it for a while seeing as all the engine work was only finished early 2015 and the respray was only 2 months ago but with out knowing the full story I always think the worst. t.mogsy Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Which car? Or has he decided to keep it now  He would love to keep it but just doesn't have the time to use it http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?182237-300zx-TT-auto engine sounds so sweet. Quote
AdamS Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?182237-300zx-TT-auto engine sounds so sweet. I was looking for a manual, guess its because I have never had an auto. But guess I just need to check a few out. Quote

arthur Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Hi Adam, I would take ur time & listen to the advice of members here. I like the look of the white one too! But fotos do not give u details of the cars health. The silver one looks a clean example, but I'm not a fan of silver & high spoiler. A lot of owners convert to manual, I again like the auto though. Good luck with ur search & do keep an eye on Gazwoz' motors they are quality! Quote
MarkDerby Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Following . . if any one has any Q i will try and answer them :) Quote
AdamS Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 if any one has any Q i will try and answer them :) Thanks for the help Mark, think you answered evertything on Facebook pretty well.(That's me presuming it was you) I still like the look of that wide arch white one just would have been interested to know why the original seller decided to move on. As the current seller knows very little about the car and just seems to want to shift it on. Thanks Mark ( ps you don't know anyone in around derby who would be likley to give me a few pointers on the 300.) I'm sure I will be bringing it along to you if I do end up getting one this year.
