Oh dear Mondo, hope it wasn't that bad and you don't get the cleanup bill! :P And for the record I got 0.4 bar of boost on the way back. So more than earlier but I still need to find out what's wrong!

Thanks to everyone involved in the organisation and the members for making it a great meet! I had a great day and the Z did the 200 miles today effortlessly. Not bad seen as it's been parked up for 4 months and been ripped apart in the past week:lol:

I'll hope not lol. One thing I did find was the knock sensor unplugged - and the opposing connector had some tape flapping off it and no resistor in sight... would this affect and cut the boost?

Yeah under load when driving mate, I wouldn't just sit there revving my car I'm not 18... :lol:

Its a just a vac operated boost gauge, straight off the balance bar

Got a few jobs done on the Z tonight ahead of Coventry and as it was a nice sunset thought I'd take a quick picture :)

Well typically the day before a long journey my Z is giving me issues. I installed an aftermarket boost gauge as the car hasn't got any sort of boost gauge whatsoever, and it's boosting to 0.1 bar. I can hear the turbos spooling up nicely but it just doesn't speed up much lol. Only other things I've done is blanked off the recircs - 4 large pipes and two vac lines and the battery light is on so maybe it's not at full voltage. Tried doing an ecu diagnostic check but it's not working, and shorting the two terminals on the diag plug isn't working either. Any ideas anyone? Or it will be a slow boring driving to Coventry lol

Check for wear in the lower arms where the tension rod bolts. I had some scary corrosion on a previous Z and others have been affected too.

Jeez, that rain last time was unbelievable. Probably the worst rain I've ever driven in, even the warp-speed wiper mode on the Z couldn't keep up!

I've just got back from Portugal so gonna concentrate on getting my TT back on the road as I've not driven it in 2 months. the slicktop will take a back burner until later in the year as I want to get the pontiac on the road in august and we're getting a new family car next week which I'm quite excited about :) Too much on and no time to do it. the rear lights are coming off and being sold, I don't really have anything against them but the missus doesn't lol and it's for her mainly so off they come haha Its a K plate series 2, got a '96 NA engine and loom going in and an auto box for now unless a manual box comes up cheap enough. It's a factory manual and still has the pedals and clutch master & slave in so a manual would save a lot of wiring hassle.
