Decided to remove the wheels for some detailing and could not resist a picture opportunity of the standard brakes on the M6 , BMW had it just right, powerful as hell but with light foot accuracy, add the dynamic brake assist and they are incredible, seems fitting I guess for a 200 MPH car though !

Would they fit on a Z ?

Be easier and cheaper to use the six pot units made by Brembo that Porsche/VW use. Bit front heavy though

Not sure Tony but there is a way to make most things fit, whether the z master cylinder would be up to the job is another thing.

Jeff

Porsche Cayene / VW Toureg / Audi Q7 Brembo 17z and 18z calipers can fit the Z with the correct brackets, Jeep SRT8 Brembo's will also fit, you need to run 370Z discs front and rear. I'm building a set of SRT8 front and rear calipers at the moment (if the powdercoaters ever get them done). I also have a contact in the US who supplies the correct brackets for all these calipers:thumbup:

Info from New altlas car tech site:

Reflecting its outstanding power and performance, the BMW M6 naturally features extra-large high-performance brakes complete with cross-drilled extra-low-weight compound brake discs.

The double-piston swing callipers made of aluminium are optimised for both weight and stiffness and ensure stopping distances are shorter than ever before: Applying the brakes from 62 mph , the BMW M6 stops in just 118 feet. From 125 mph to 0 takes less than 460 feet.
