  1. I'd want to have a bloody good look at the receipts.
  2. I still get back lash with the two piece mate.
  3. No Lymon they taxed the hell out of it meaning that with its subsequently higher consumption combined it was not financially viable and was withdrawn from the market. You can buy it in drums but this works out even more expensive. So it's Dinosaur bone fuel only here to.
  4. A tight bearing is a bearing doomed to fail bud.
  5. Go from underneath mate. The drivers ones a bit of a pain but the passenger one shouldn't be too bad, worse case scenario you will have to move the aircon condenser but I think you will be fine. They jut run from the actuator to the thin hard pipes between the intercooler piping near the rad, via the boost solenoid which are bolted to the sides of the plenum. Pretty easy once you know where they are and go.
  6. No I mean what is actually wrong with the car that you've given up on trying to repair?
  7. We did it with the dash in Ali, both times. It's a **** though. As mondo says that top bolt is a nightmare. If your doing other stuff it makes sense.
  8. Fitting the clutch pedal will be 100xs easier with that lot out the way.
  9. Crazy money for retro metal is passing hands. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-3321837/Escort-RS-Turbo-Sierra-Cosworth-RS500-fast-Fords-set-record-prices.html
  10. Not for me either and I'm sure that's more than they were new. Pretty sure they only made 500 of them as well, so a rare car to start with. Couple that with fact it's got 34 miles on the clock and you can start to understand how the Ford boys may pay it. Ford fans are numerous and well funded.
  11. That's certainly the case over here, stateside though lots of boys doing these "breather builds" many of them using E85 and 750 injectors. Big numbers coming out. There's a lad that's made 499.78WHP & 533.50WTQ on stock turbos, long list of other bits but that's crazy.
  12. Must be the intercooler piping as you say then. Much louder than mine.
  13. Are you still using the stock accordion pipes? (Ones that feed from the intake to the turbo) apparently the ribs in there help to silence the spool noise.
  14. Yeah your onto a winner enjoy it.
  15. I think it's the fact they advertise as affordable housing and the price is 250k to 350k for a 2 bed semi assembled by stoners is probably a better thing to call them out on.
  16. Sounds lovely. What system is in it Dan?
  17. I had it in my head you had had a Jimmer rebuild with weiscos. If your not interested in pulling the block your kinda restricted to bolt ons. So a parts list as such; 2.5" intercooler piping, 2.5" intercoolers. Selin dual MAF. 3" expansion down pipes. 555 injectors That lot might make 400rwhp. But I don't think you'd be up running it up to the limit to push much beyond that. Your going to change response and make a much punchier car without peak power power. Tbh si a set of 555s and the dual MAF with a custom map alone will net you significant gains. Really depends what you want to spend.
  18. At the end of the day Si you know the options, more than most. You've got a very solid block to add to, it's kinda wasted running less than 400hp. I'm guessing, knowing you, you want something kinda punchy without too much lag as apposed to a dollop of power. How about MSP manifolds with 3" expansion downpipes. Mated to a pair of z1 gt525 or 535 turbos. 2.5" intercoolers and pipework with a selin. Set of Nismo 555 injectors That little lot with a good map should deliver a very smooth and lag free curve good up to about 500fwhp. Obviously you could knock it back to a lower Psi and net a cool 430-450bhp all day long. There is very little point in removing the stock turbos if you have no intention of going over 400fwhp, you can cross that mark with breather mods. Like I say, you know the score.
  19. I too have thought about this option. However...I have a concern, not just in referance to swarf deposits but in the design. Obviously the BA intercoolers are designed to help with the flow resistance through the system. Removing the bottle neck that is the inlets may not be the only factor, can the intercooler itself cope? You could end up with the cooler core itself becoming the bottle neck. Rendering your modification useless.
  20. You may want to go back and double check that, don't forget that Z centre prices are exclusive of vat. So that price on the site is +20%.
  21. Sarcasm unit at factor 50 youngen. Just fyi mine makes 370+bhp @ the fly dyno proven nice and safely on stock tubs and injectors.
  22. Certainly not old hat. Good head work is money in the bank tuning wise.
  23. What do the Americans know about tuning these cars. The stock block is only good for 350bhp and only 280 with a series 1 ptu.
