  1. welcom eto zed ownership! and a 35mm hose near the egr. i think a few people have done egr removal with teh engine in but its a ****!
  2. how would it work with the curved bottom of the 89 spec front bumper do you recon dave?
  3. ridiculous shame. im glad i saw this car in the flesh and saw it running, before its posted off to europe or broken for bits. its a sad world that because this particular model of car its the most desibarble they dont sell properly even at this higher spec. if this were a skyline thyre would be people crawling all over it screaming out to buy it. be a very very sad day if it gets broken for parts especially when its not really even been a car very long. would have been nice to see it laying down some silly quater miles etc. thats the great thing about bobs car its getting trashed, and its gonna raise the zeds profile by force of might. as i say real shame, i hope it doesnt get broken up.
  4. after the back story jeff has given you i think the only informed decession would be to do as sujested to replace the block.. sucks but hey.
  5. the interior is dreadfull it looks like it belongs in some korean hatchback!
  6. i spotted this on ebay, its in the use but i expect there must be a uk version for slae somewhere? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Front-Bumper-Lip-Splitter-VW-Audi-Honda-BMW-/150634678691?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item231286c9a3
  7. in short yeah. the cc can be removed regaudless. just make sure its blanked off properly, its a very common mod.
  8. piece of shit! i really dont like golfs. my brother in law had a mk 2 gti until recently **** box! slow and held toghether with farts.
  9. think my passenger side looked like the first pic in post 2 probally not as bad, im going to be reundersealing the car this syummer anyways. so what would be the reccomended step if its in the very very early stages?
  10. doesnt quite sound like everything is coming together in the right order ther bud. i would suggest getting someone local with consult ior simular to come and get some codes and reading off. i wouldnt have thought it would have been a boost leak to make it sound like that at idle. mines popped off oine of teh main four hoses before sounded fine till you hit boost. you can pull codes from the ecu itself aswel if you so wish. boost leak test is a good idea though, even if its not the problem it cant hurt. it would soun dto me like your out of time. so compression is incomplete leaving unbutrnt fuel this is causing the black plugs and smoke. iirc your cars a little special under there isnt it, a little out the norm. the compression results are encouraging. but i really think that getting it hooked up to some software would put you miles ahead of where you are at present.
  11. trouble is theyre still expensive brembos of an evo are wayyyyyy cheaper!
  12. gorgeous zeds shame they had to go soooooooooo low pop them up about 15-20mm they would look soooo much better, look at the guys history though all german he was gonna strech/slam make it unusable i bet they both handle crap. whats the point in a sports car so low it cant go round corners!
  13. you have to have patience, trouble is not everyone on here is on here very often some of us are and others are very busy, it make take a week, by which time your post has fallen back out of sight. i often find if you need an answer quick its best to ask on the us forum as theuer are so many more members you will get an answer faster. there is a wealth of very knowledgeable people on here, but they cant answer everything mate. i hope youve solved your issue though.
  14. 44% those questions were just stupid most were irrelivant they should be asking questions such as what side of the road do we drive on and who is the current pm legal ages of this and that legal issues. so they can see that people can come here and intergrate properly without causing themselves or others harm, that way theres no excuse when their tyold youve just broken this law and they say oh i didnt know i only got here yesterday. incedentially i took this again afterwards and got 88% and i still dont know who the huegnots are.
  15. i can give him a text for you.
  16. im considering going if i do il come in convoy with you rob.
  17. as above its the hicas solonid. you could remove it and do a hicas delete on the rear while your at it.
  18. its most likly a dirty speed sensor, or a poor connection on a speedo converter if yours is an import. mine does it when its wet and yuck if i use it too much, once i hit about 50 it pops back in. and stays working.
  19. ive mailed japspeed hoping they will have a pair knocking aboput.
  20. balls i looked at the service manual and came up with that answer aswel. so what no as they are without the front bits essentially fecking useless.

  22. im not sure wht ive got but on comparison to stock they dont look right. the standard front pipe has a 90 degree bend at the end, the japspeed about 45 degrees im confused? hav ei got non tuirbo ones? none of this is on the car atm btw.
