If it still has the reg it was given in the uk and you remember it you can search the car via the british dvla website. It will at least inform you if the car is still registered

im looking at doing my interior as a summer project. the main thing im cautious of is the suitability of the adhesive, ive heard of horror stories of people doing it and it peeling off in the next sunny day, infact ive seen it happen. :( ive tried searching and looking but sod all just conflicting opinions on 3m products, so who can tell me what a good product is to use. while im on the subject retrimming in leather is obviously very expensive and laboursome. vynal seems a better choice, how strechy/crease resistant is the stuff. ive used self adeshive vynal on my roof bars etc which with a hairdryer was great stuff.

oh right, thats great i was always worried the skirts would sit lower than the bumper.

right ive been looking at some road maps etc and i think a great route that would give us some fun twisties long empty straights etc and great senery would be to take a path from studland to swanage, through to corfe via langton matravas. then on towards wareham through wareham forset out to winterborne zeston. there is a pub there at the end og a loverly national speedlimit a road. i will be posting up a map once i can work out the exact route. i wont be planning on gunning it the whole way but there will be plenty of opertunities for those nice quick a/b road action :) date to be confirmed but obviously good wetaher will help loads. get a few piccies get out and use the damn things and a good old chit chat while the engines cool. ideally it will be an early start to allow easy crossing on the ferry from this end. any route deviations or points of interest that you would like to add on etc etc feel free to contribute should be a good day.

yup agreed! this the fairest and most sensible way to do it. but then in reality our road tax isnt spent on the roads at all so it will never happen.

Agreed my mrs car is 30 I only use the zed at weekends

lol yeah i dropped it afew years back now, i have a fully built bike sat in my garage. full handbuilt amercian 4130 fbm frame and all sorts of parts its indestructible i know ive tried many many times and its always come back to bite, cost afortun to import and build. but its been about disassembled and flown across europe and thrown across most of the uk lol. id never part with it toooooo many memories.

so you have brought two cars recently that the one you had before could crush one of them literally :p haha

get yourself a bike which is set up for single track/cross country very light rigid no suspension. will be quick fun to ride and good on the roads aswel as off road on the footpaths etc. you wont need anything amazing as your not gonna be throwing it about. gt do make some nice bikes but you will pay more than you need to for what you wnat because it has that written on it. i used to ride bmx so i know a fair bit about bike contruction and all the rest just not too much about the current mtb brands etc... why not add some parts to your current bike rather than buy a new one? you do it with your car to make it better :)

My experience with this is as follows, if it goes becaude of the block being cast iron, and the heads being ali. They contract different and warp Bad news!

A little lowering goes a long way on a zed lol I remembering being 17 and my mates dropping their lame hatches by 60 70 or even 80mm, just to be a simular ride height to the zed on 20 odd mm

About 20-25mm id say

Mental here I just visited 10 petrol stations. All closed with no fuel, and one had a tanker on the forecoirt they wouldnt say if they were going to reopen. I gave up after 20 minuyes. I managed to fill my van up took an hour of quing, but we need the fuel. Looks like the zeds grounded,red lights on now :(
