  1. they recon the average age to perminatly leave home now is 32! 30 fecking 2! weve technically left now at 26 however were really struggling to both rent and save. good jobs are so hard to come by for us youngens these days. too many people working way longer and holding onto their place in the ladder. fortunately katie has now got a job albeit part time. so we can stop dipping into the deposit fund again, just gotta top it up again. grrr. so if you want a cheap tt manual next year you might be worth watching this space lol cos il probally be brassic.
  2. as i say there maybe a fair few more pics etc coming over the next few weeks including the life support system for all this. keeping a reef tank is as simple or as hard as you chose to make it. for a simply setup of just the fish the step up isnt much further than a well maintained freshwater tank. mostly disolved nutrients are the main concern, once understood maintaining them at acceptable levels is relativity simple. as you start keeping coral soft corals are a logical next step forward, regular water testing and changes are ussually enough to keep on top of things and working towards hard corals like the colourfull branches you see here at the other end of the spectrum. demands some very accurate and watchfull testing. small errors can cause major set backs or death or colonies, which is why my major elements such as calcium and the carbonates that are used up in growth are controlled by a semi automatic doser that doses x amount per day, 8 times a day per element to maintain stability. the daily loses are 3 times the difference required to cause the start of tissue recession within those colonies so it is for me an essential piece of equipment. I hope that helps, if you ever want to take the plunge id recommend http://www.ultimatereef.com as indespensible forum and resource.
  3. i did that a few years back spun out and hit the curb?
  4. few updated pics for you guys as i know a few of you enjoy seeing them. theres something potentially in the pipeline so there may be some more high quality images over the following weeks.
  5. il start out with saying im not expert but this is what i understand from my recent conversations a little play is actually quite normal, its rare to get them perfectly tight unless they are new because the oil pressure within the turbo is part of what governs the play to a certain extent. im actually currently in the same scenario as yourself. but ive chosen to rebuild the tubs rather than buying good second hand ones for the reason youve had. if they have play then you will need more than the stock rebuild kits on ebay, you will need possibly some new internals and possibly a different size seal or bearing. SIMPLY MARKING THE SHAFT ETC AND PUTTING IT BACK IN THE SAME PLACE WILL NOT GUARANTEE BALANCE sadly because they spin at such a fast rate a little inbalance goes along way and will quickly make your hard effort a waste of time. i dont know where your based but as said there are plenty of places that will do turbo rebuilds, mine will be going over to cr turbos. for three reasons. they are responsible for some of the very best builds in this country, they are very local to me within 5 miles and they are very helpfull and open with their knowledge.
  6. Yeah its the number I want I want to know if tge pair ive got are auto.or manual.
  7. i know its been covered before but what are the differences between auto and manual tubs? to look at i mean, theres a diffrent number written on them somewhere isnt there?
  8. ah i see thats very unfortunate. sorry to hear your troubles, if you were local id lend a hand to get it done maybe someone local will have the time. it would be a great help to yourself and would as you said early increase teh profile of the marque so im sure someone will be able to help.
  9. no richard its simply for show use and so the plate can be flipped back down after doing track day laps without having to exit the car for safety. :)
  10. Oooooh that thing fat chance another year on my contract.
  11. I think your loosing the faith and possibly the plot haha.
  12. Would you have to produce the artical yourself? I think its a fantastic way to advert the car gives it a real pedigree, and raise the profile of the marque. Plus youll have some top notch memorabilla from the car, to remember it by once its gone.
  13. Il be honest the interior makes me feel very honda ... Anyways I agree with yh he chrome wrap with black roof bars, would seal the silver surfer angle so much bettsr shoud be cheaper too.
  14. Just turbo rebuild and fixing some annoying bits like leaky rockers and the like. Doing egr delegte and water bypass the norm Hopefully I wont be building a new block just yet...

  18. As he said sounds like the spectral output is shifting. Pink is higher up than vibrant white so logic sugests ballast failure overdriving the bulb maybe.
  19. thats aweosme i have that twisty turny thing you can see at the beginning. and that was a **** to put together on its own.
  20. do a boost leak test, i think you may find youve knocked off an intercooler hose partially or cracked one. the hoses for the fuel are also down there but its more likely the front youve given a whack just go over and inspect it all.
