  1. side mounts, side mounts!
  2. i agree vods, i know they would never do it but i think the goverment should be a public service and paid as one. they can keep the free tax/car and house one of each. and just take home the average income. if they dont fancy it we can always hang the *******s.
  3. No you dont they will back off after a month because of dust and shit from the belt. Yuk lol
  4. Just google tyre size calculator theres loads
  5. yeah they are expensive stock rebuild for about £350! however they are responsible for the turbo build on seven valley motorsports r35 gtr, the hulk as its known. they do also seem to be one of the only places round here that will balance a turbo youve built yourself. most dont seem keen on the idea. let me know how you get on if you get it round my way, most of the southern ones are here within a few miles.
  6. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html there you go bud.
  7. tbh i would fit one the cabin gets pretty warm on a long drive, and on a summers day il take all the help i can get esp seeings as my air con if faff
  8. that funny i always thought they were crud engines too, we had one at work done like 40k regularly serviced you know fleet car. dropped a piston. and when we were looking for a focus we looked at diesel ones and were steered away as the ford diesel block had a bad rep. but obvioulsy this time it wasnt related to the block it was the other part failing. but yeah.
  9. me want the sills. however i think you should remove the mesh on teh pannel and carbon it like your bonnet. :)
  10. yeah interesting a little haphazard to use, shame you have to click links and links to get to peoples spec,

  12. I have those crystals, il pop up a pic later.
  13. lol its so hard to stick to it like glue. round our way it goes up down like a yoyo. theres a few fast straight carriageways that you think are national they feel like they should be that have been taken down to 50, in the van im restricted by law to 60 on a dual and the amount of times because theyre so close i forget and drift up to 55/60. and of corse the cameras are about.
  14. i got 3 points on my license, for a cu30 (defective tyre) which in march will be 3 years since the conviction date. now i cant remember how long these little tinkers take to get off my license. is it three years or five? have a nice clean license then(hopefully, unless the buggers sting me for something else). which considering i do around 30k a year and im under 30 means im a bit more likely to be both caught and prosicuted, they love the youngens :/
  15. i do have to agree with jeff here i dont often pipe up and spoil the apple cart but i do feel the whole subject was allowed to get out of hand and was delt with poorly in its wake.
  16. Think ul find as richard said thats for a z31 which came with a single cammed head rather than twin cam heads ike ours. Id stick with oem for stuff like that and conceptz or z1 are pretty good on 60k kits etc.
  17. i was more disappointed in other peoples reactions than your own Ian, i made my point on that at the time. i used to be friends with a chap when i was a kid who was wheel chair bound due to spinobifida (sp?) anyways it was always surprising how much could be overcome with gut determination, so i have alot of admiration for anyone who has these extra things to contend with. i think you were right to stand your ground. i think people are obviously and rightly so annoyed and fed up with the scroungers in this country and unfortuntly they applied that frustration without prior or full thought. they simply didnt take into consideration that there are people who genuinely deserve the help. we need to remember that its fantastic that this country is able to provide a benfit or wellfare system for those that really need it, it is however a disgrace this is abused. mostly it seems by non nationals and non contributors. unfortunatly that isnt going to chnage anytime soon. anyways i will finish this off when i have more time.
  18. Ok cheers im just a bit wary ofthe cheaper kits and the genuine ones are expensive.
  19. Where did you get your rebuild kits and how much paul?
  20. recon we can get this done by October gaz mate?
  21. thanks for the link andy i did look at them but im trying to avoid the risk of putting on (no offensive) something thats potentially floored. obviously theyre in great nick but theyre 15 years old. if you get my point. thanks anyways.
  22. poor reputation when done at home or generally? i thought rebuilding them was pretty normal?
  23. right i was looking for two things regarding this, advice on how to proceed with the rebuild, and a list of parts or consumables Il need to do the job gaskets etc etc. so after looking into rebuilds cost seem to run from around £200 to £350 each tub. rebuild kits are around £100 for a genuine garrett kit. plus £63 to balance so around £163 per tub id be perfectly happy to rebuild my tubs myself, as after doing a bit of reading them seem very similar internally to the water pumps i build at work on a regular basis, so i feel i could handle this. although for the saving of about £40 a side the stress and risk dont seem particularly worth it. that £40 is worth it for peace of mind.... so whats your thoughts?
  24. much better the colour coded roof bars look so dated and make the roof look messy :) well done
