That's alright they're bloody useless, didn't vodka shots have a zed once which was a primera on the log book.

When I did mine the insurance company didn't care, as the car could be a manual from factory. They didn't class it as a modification at all.

The flange that bolts the diff and prop up are different so not compatible, either use a full na prop for your either manual or auto box. Or have a one piece prop made. The diff ratio changes the speedo reading as the gear box is rotating quicker, it is the speed sensor on the box that gives the reading to the speedo, so changing the speedo will have no effect. Sadly the na and tt speed sensors arnt interchangeable either. I'm not sure how people have got round this. It's worth noting at any given speed you will be at higher revs due to the lower ratio.

Known working series 1 to get home then. I know they get a bad press but so many people have series 1 ptus quite happily working.

You need the whole rear assembly, the subframe is different to accommodate the diff, they arnt interchangeable. The half shafts and hubs are also different. There are still arms where the hicas was they are just fixed, much like a lock out bar. Your props haft will need alteration as well. Or you will need the correct whole na prop. The speedo will read wrong also.

It's supposed to fit beside the battery without removal. The idea was that it is a header tank aswel as the zed doesn't have one. Where did you buy it from mate obv states, but z1 or ams directly.

Jack the car up and rock the wheel see how it moves and what it effects.

Mines developed a 5.5k misfire, I think that's coincidence though, well I know it is because I changed something.

I've recently, as in I moved in just over a fortnight ago brought my first house. We were short on a few grand, I had to face a choice of an easy option, as all my family were telling me of sell the zed. Or find that cash else where. I thought long and gRd about it and realised to get what I'd want and need roughly £3500 for my car it was going to take me 3/6 months to sell it. In 3/6 months I could save the money, the zed stayed. Your in a different position however, the cash is coming your way. Is it enough to solve the issue though, are you on a set time scale? Would you simply be robbing peter to pay Paul? If your going to end up buying another you will effectively be in debt to yourself! I say keep zeding you need something nice to focus on aside from boring house crap.

Hellraisers is a really nice red.

Red was the colour chosen in the design stages to show the lines best in any light, the designer actually traveled the world to see the effect if different light on the body shape in different colours.. Hence sooo many red z32s. Orange is a hateful colour, it's created by an almost as ugly colour yellow, that dirty love child is orange! Be content it's only law for the indicators to be orange, otherwise it would infect everything yuk.

So you have a permanent miss on several cylinders? Or is it intermittent? When you accelerated hard did you get any black smoke? I would guess either you have a fuel fouled plug caused by a rich map or a vac leak. Hence the poor starting and loss of cylinders. Just gotta start at the bottom and work out what's missing. There used to be a member in London that worked on zeds, I think he still does by the name of silver bullet. He may be your best bet, or powerzed is in avon mouth, near Bristol straight down the m4 which isn't too bad.
