  1. That's what a club is about, what defines the differences between forum and club.
  2. Hicas is simply a means to create a far sharper turn in like a lightweight small car. It makes the car extremely good at slalom work and was designed around the overtaking manover. Sadly most peoples don't work properly leaving is loose and sluggish. Dependant on your desires, as a track driving propersition or for drifting it can make the car hard to predict as often it causes you to over correct. I've had that a few times leaving me fish tailing and scrabbling at the wheel. It's also speed dependant so don't expect the same results each time. In short hicas takes a lot of getting used to, and even then it can make driving on the limits of grip hard to second guess as it creates a floaty feeling as if it's about to go. If your car is purely to waft along in and occasionally over take and it works, you will probably like it. If you wish to drive harder it's unpredictability will cause you to loose patience with it. It's saved my bacon and caused me heart attacks equal amounts of times.
  3. As above the list is endless. It's best to figure out what your aim is then shoot for it. Breather mods make a big difference in response and power on these cars. Before any mahout modding I sujest you get cambelt etc done.
  4. I only know because I read his other thread :D
  5. Cos it's been chipped ;) not mapped. Zedworld ecu.
  6. Sadly your correct there Steve, we had more cars then that at simply japanese. Japfest is usually a great turnout for z32s and I wil be keeping a close eye on who is attending. Will you be attending yourself this year?
  7. Is that active clients jeff or registrations you've worked on? The backyard breakers are breaking it seems one a month...
  8. Iirc if your running rich the unburnt fuel recycled through the combustion cycle can preingnite, causing dett. Glad it's sorted though, boost leaks are a royal pita.
  9. That would be post turbo. Still not going to help. The cold weather should make your car less like to dett not more, something isn't right. Iirc and you can probably find it, Noel did a write up on generic chips finding most were leaner than preferable in the mid range,
  10. I don't know where that number came from but it seems to be fairly accurate, if that mot guide is accurate +improperly recorded on thier v5 cars could feasibly be circa 7-800
  11. Can I add a track session please Steve? When do you need payment by?
  12. I can't remember how it was worked out but the genera concensus is there are around 800 z32s left in the uk.
  13. Only if it was post turbo aswel. If it was preturbo that pipework is still under vacuum not boost. Sort out the boost leaks, even if they are THE problem they're still not helping.
  14. Did day at the beginning. If it's leaking in or out after the maf which is well all of it, you will effect the mix. If the mix is out you can either run lean and fuel foul causing preingnition of the deposits or burn lean.
  15. Lol gibbon me mate. Professional ferrit as well.
  16. Real shame it's being broken, I know it's obviously a rusty wreck but be nice to see some photos of that rare beast before it disappears forever.
  17. Everyone says that yet I can touch each every bolt on the passenger side. Mine with all my deletes would be out in about an hour I recon. Drivers side is the tighter side close to the block steering is in the way, I honestly can't see how it's the easier one.
  18. What's happening with this impul car?
  19. Put a rubber on next time mate you've got cyber clap.
  20. Exactly that, I think your either running lean to vac leak or your timing is out. Could even be the TPS. Sort it out quick though, else your next thread will be "my engine blew up"
  21. The only reason I was potentially looking for a uk rear end is I was hoping to pick up the uprated anti roll bar in the process. Yes gaz mate you gotta pop round, ive gotta get the place a bit sorted while im off over Christmas, the zed is getting damp atm, not the best. Soon solve that though. Jaffa pm on its way to you.
  22. Never knew that, it's a damn chocolate teapot then! Your high end is the most dangerous part of the curve.
  23. It tastes shit when it's not off, bin it.
  24. You won't build boost in neutral anyway. It's worth un bolting the front hard pipe, you know the one behind the accordion pipes, bolts onto the turbo face. This will allow access to the front compressor wheel, this should turn smooth as glass and extremely light. If it's tight or notchy...well yeah.
  25. Sounds interesting, local enough for me to just pop it in my van as well. It will be Decembers paycheck funding it so not until the 1st of January basically, feel free to pm me.
