Boost leak woes
I'm sure you know this si but it won't boost in neutral. You need load to spool them. Smoke pellets are winner, as is soapy water.

Decat pipe question
Probably not, the ones pictured use an extra silencer, thats the issue even with the other ones they CAN catch on the box. Despite the quality being very good for the money they arnt faultless and may require some persuasion to fit. The other version requires the turbo elbow to be changed as well, as the mating flanges are very different.

Power Steering Hose
Yeah I've had mine rebuilt. Wasn't that expensive. The hydraulics company will work out what the spec needs to be from the old one. As for the other issue, it could just be the oil had drained back and you should have primed the engine, pop the fuel relay out and turn it over get the oil flowing. See what it does on the next start up.

Steering rack solid mount.
Hahahaha it was ok actually. I used this link from driftworks; http://www.driftworks.com/forum/faq-new-members-please-read/76000-stainless-steering-bush-fitting-guide.html That was marginally helpful. The Z32 steering collum is slightly different though with nuts both end, sadly the bolt is captive though. Which meant I was forced to move the car off the ramps and onto axel stands, this allowed free manipulation of the rack by hand. Undid the two bolts on the steering rack UJ then the steering collum can slide down out the way. Assemble the bush as per the link. Reassemble. Try to get the steering wheel back on straight... Fun.

Steering rack solid mount.
Cheers, I was starting to consider shelving it but if it makes a positive effect then il take the time to fit it.

Steering rack solid mount.
Hi guys, anyone fitted one of these; It just seems everything is at the wrong angle to undo and I'm starting to think i need to remove the steering collum to do it. Engines out so I thought it would be a quick simple job, sadly not.

What did you do to your zed today?
That looks much better bud. You will need those sunglasses we have this thing called sun down here, don't spend to long in it though or you will turn into a beet root.

Project Dittohead Red
That's fair enough, the cost to come to England for that would drag things out of proportion I guess. I'm sure they will do a Stirling job. If I can do it as an ammature(it's not worked yet mind haha) then I'm sure a professional garage can.

Haha at this rate we postage might be the best option lol.

Project Dittohead Red
Er no...lol. TBF that was one of the easiest jobs I've done recently. Time consuming but one of those things you can just relax and tinker away. I did consult the FSM and text gaz a few times for reassurance but yeah, Nissan made it pretty user friendly.

Workshop addition
I'd love one if these, an AC/DC tig welder is higher on my list though.

Temperature gauge a bit dodgy when cold.
If you look at the connectors, the pin connection is like a little box with a slot. You can push the flats either side of the box to make a v shape. Pinches the connection better.

Boost solenoids
I have three here lol one is ok the others look like melted plastic.

Boost solenoids
Yeah that's the plan. Longer term il be using a wideband anyway, however from what I understand the dett sensor isn't that useful anyway, cuts out etc. The dett sensor didn't exactly save the last engine either lol.

Project Dittohead Red
Oh and this is way more of pain to fit than I had in mind, I thought it would take all of five minutes...wrong!

The new block is ready to go in, all dressed aside from the alternator and ps pump, which I like to do in situee. The rear end just needs the coilovers popped back in and the hand brake assembled. Nearly there now, really nearly there. I'm on call this weekend so fingers crossed I will manage to get some more done and all being equal the block will be in. Hoping to mot it next weekend.
