  1. There is always power to the injectors even when the ignition is off, unless you have a later car or a mod. Code 21 is for no spark, could be as simple as a shit connector/connection. Start by investigating the usual culprits for code 21. Here's a start for you. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1106815/Is-this-CODE-21-WRITE-UP-tech-article-worthy-IMG-help-plz.html Whilst it's possible that a cable or connection has broken in the process, heat damage and age make this very possible. I very much doubt any components decided to phantomly break whilst sat there doing nothing, they didn't break in use they worked until the work was done. A new loom would be a. Great solution, if that's the issue. However a new CAS plug might of been all that was necessary.
  2. Yes happy Eastre chaps.
  3. The hicas unit bolts to the subframe not the diff. Unless some one knows better I wasn't aware of a difference between any if the TT diffs only the NA vs TT difference.
  4. Have you investigated the possibly of using 550cc side feed jecs from a scooby? They are pretty cheap to pick up. Obviously you would need the adapter and plugs. Might be worth some research on your part. I'm thinking about going that route myself, from what I've worked out it would be cheaper by a long way to buy them and have them tested and cleaned etc.
  5. Woah! 57k likely genuine being a uk model, at least more likely than a JDM. If I was in the market I'd be paying that car serious attention, looks honest from the pictures and the price is very fair.
  6. What's the camber look like in real life? Looks really weird that. Are both sides equally low, ie the arch gap the same? Have you rolled the car forward and back or literally just dropped it back down?
  7. Alive is always good! Look forward to finally seeing the damn this lol.
  8. It's really sad but new tyres bring joy to me, car always feels great with brand spankers new rubber.
  9. I know mate it's scarey. A few months ago I had ages to finish the garden, do some bits in the house and finish paying for the wedding...suddenly the wedding is like 8-9 weeks away and japfest is like 7 weeks away. I feel like I fell asleep and woke up three months later, scarey. By this time next week though il be a way forward all things being equal, I can work pretty fast when the motivation takes me haha. I'm sure we will see each other over the show season. Your always welcome to have a cuppa if your in my county as well mate.
  10. An hour or two this afternoon and were getting a little progress sorted in the bay. Should be ready to pull very soon, fitting it in around other demands. Need to remove the lower plenum from this block for the new one and the exhaust cam and CAS as it's a late style CAS, some joy ey.
  11. Picked these last suspension bits up today from the shot blasters, they did a great job of the pesky fuel filler cover plate thingy. Zinc primed; Hammerited, well one side anyways, takes years to dry that stuff; And I picked up a Jiffy bag of joy from Z1 :D
  12. Bit behind on pictures but I've hit all loose underseal under the car. Any surface rust has been wire wheeled with the grinder, rust converted(just for peace of mind), zinc primed & hammerited. Then I've put a fresh coat of underseal with wax oil from the handbrake connections back minus above the fuel tank which will get the same treatment next winter, which it appears it will appricate. Rear subframe is almost ready for reassembly. Just got to collect some little bits, it's a tomorrow job although with a small box of bits from FedEx, for what arrived a little while back from mr dent. Hopefully by the time the weekends out it should be a big leap forward.
  13. Mine was auto originally, the autobox did what many do and developed problems. Those problems worsened until I decided to go manual, just in time I might add. That choice transformed the car. I'm not anti auto, I quite like the relaxed nature of an automatic. For a daily driver with traffic jams it's king it really is. But mid corner on that empty A road at 4am when the box changes where you didn't want it leaves you screaming at it, do what I want you to bloody do!!! Modern autos are better at this obviously, but with the zeds box the ability to simply see your corner down shift pull through and stamp on it through the exit and KNOW that the gear you want is what you will get till you change makes all the difference. For you I get it, for me I want my toy to be you like.
  14. The pump is on the left of the engine as you look at it, about 10" down or so, it's the top pulley if the two you will see. If it's coming out in the middle it could potentially be running down a pipe or across the cross member etc, most likely though the high pressure line has rusted on it's joiner and is leaking. Clean up the mess and see what you can see from underneath.
  15. Alright mate. That's a shitty stick, sounds like all will be well soon enough though.
  16. where the devil did they come from...
  17. Genuine oem wheel bearing are quite expensive, esp the rear ones.
  18. Ah has it now, that makes life easier for me. That four days over waster is a big chance for me to catch up a bit.
  19. This is sneaking up on us.
  20. Good stuff. I might go raid the scrap yard lol. Seems they were fitted to a succession of volvos.
  21. Do you get that nice little fan pattern?
  22. Woah, thought that looked like a straighter car than that.
  23. Beautifully put. I honestly think they should lower the voting age to 16, why? Well because firstly it's crazy you can pay tax and be considered old enough for sexual consent but you can't have a vote on yours or that child's life but more importantly it encourages discussion, you will talk about it if you are able to participate. Get people into the habit young, get them interested then they will actually engage and participate. Too many of us don't vote and it's not for laziness(not all anyway) it's due to disillusionment and disheartenment.
  24. What's that, leaky turbo seals?
