Looking for a new Zed ?????
If there was a proven 1100hp zed floating about someone on here might of heard of it before. It might have a block good for 1100hp but that's rather different.

Need some advice on getting ANOTHER 300zx!
1. Clutch change isn't difficult as such just time consuming. If you don't have the tools and equipment it can take a fair chunk if time. The garages can do it much faster with the lift and transmission jacks etc. If it's your first time and your working alone with basic tools it's going to eat most of your weekend IMO. I'd say it's only going to take a morning and it can be done that quick, but that's in good conditions with experience on your side. I'm guessing that quote wasn't including parts? 2. The rust on that arch is pretty progressive. I can't forsee you saving the arch without majour surgery. If the arch top is that bad the alarm bells of the sill and rear portion under the bumper are ringing. Many have thought, "it's just surface rust" it rarely is...it's always worse than it looks. The first car on face value is the better car.

300zx model
Yes, I've got one somewhere. If you can fix a real one you can build a little toy version, if you need the instructions to put it together best you sell your zed and buy a skateboard. Seriously just buy it, just make sure you've got all the paint, which will likely cost more than the model lol.

BMC part number.
Has anyone got the part number for a jap spec TT brake master cylinder? It's a bm57 fitted to mine, nabco iirc 1.1/17" size.

maxium offset wheels sizes with out wheel spacers
You may need to subscribe to veiw it but this thread has a massive amount of information regarding the fitment of wheels to the 300zx. http://www.300zxclub.com/showthread.php?t=158303&highlight=wheels+fit I think my rears are 9J with a +35 offset and I had to roll my arches to get them to fit once I lowered it some more. The ride height can make quiet a difference to the fitment.

This what being in trouble with the wife looks like
Looks like you got off lightly. If I added two more zeds is be adding a sleeping bag and tent to the driveway to boot.

Arch Rolling
Yeah I did mine too, just gently rolled them a bit at a time with an arch roller. The paint on the rear flakes a bit but that's it. Came out pretty nicely.

I wouldn't surprised if the fibreglass units weren't heavier than stock TBF.

Thought you might say that. The OEM wings weigh sod all as it is, so you may be creating something feather weight.

I remember seeing the cut up arch pics. What are you making the wings out of?

Water weeping from front screen jets.
A trip to the scrapyard is in order I recon. I bet those check valves feature in most nissans of that age, micras, almeras and primeras.

New wheels
Just some niggles with the brakes and no time to correct them currently. Has your car got "500" on the rear centre panel? If so I saw it yesterday.

Powersteering
Pot, to pump via a roughly 1" diameter pipe. This is a preformed unit, it can be replaced with general hose with a 90 elbow that's how mine is, parts hyphose. Then a high pressure feed line that runs down from the pump to the rack, these rust at the bottom and leak. Mine was reconditioned by thread and pipe. Then there's a low pressure line from the rack to the pot via a hard tree, again replaced with hose from hyphose. The pump itself has two top mounted I rings that can fail, and a pair of body gaskets. With the NA there's only one circuit and access us easier. Clean it off with WD then pop a piece of board etc under the bay and turn the engine on. Then trace the leaks origin.

What did you do to your zed today?
Nicely done Russ. I think that's going to look so much the better once complete than before.

Ahhh, was going to say I didn't think they did them. Look much better, the orange makes my foot itch. I've been contemplating them myself but I don't think I need or want that level of adjustment.

That's fine nick. In your case the best thing to do would join the list, but purchase your ticket in the day.

Aftermarket maf... DONT
I'm fairly sure that fuel pressure I these cars is determined mechanically for the most part with the fuel pressure regulator on the plenum. How are you monitoring fuel pressure? Bearing in mind you haven't had the car long now. Have you preformed the 6 p's? http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/922678/The-6-Ps-Proper-Preparation-Prevents-Piss-Poor-Performancegt.html

Simply Japanese.
Yup. Sorry I hadn't explained that had I. Tickets are purchased directly by yourself either in advance on beaulieu website or you can pay on the gate. The organiser doesn't require us to purchase a stand slot etc, so it keeps this simpler. I will provide the payment link further along the line.
