  1. Do you know kev looker, by any chance?
  2. Well done! Always a good feeling that first fire up. Niggles are always to be expected, mine did the same. Caused me a few hours of testing and head scratching but it was a simple one in the end.
  3. That will be what's his face ummmmmm
  4. You are more than welcome to have a nosey over my car to see exactly what you would have to accommodate. Unfortunately I'm not around this month.
  5. Depends on the person mate. It's not a days job that's for sure but it's only nuts and bolts and the end of the day.
  6. This thread on the US owners club will help; http://www.300zxclub.com/showthread.php?t=224851&highlight=Flashstar The short answer though it's it's a very expensive route. Personally I wouldn't entertain it and would push toward a proper TT build. If your NA is healthy, enjoy it until you have the guns or requirement to change things in such a manor.
  7. Hello. I'm local too.
  8. There used to be a guy who had a few times, don't think he's active anymore. It's defiantly possible, question is, is it easier? Don't forget, access is only half the problem, the combination of that and rusty seized bolts brings a whole new dimension. I've eyed the job up before and I recon the drivers side, contray to first glance is likely easier. Because you can access all four manifold to turbo bolts quite nicely. The passenger side one of the rear two is a shit bag with the engine out let alone in situee, so most probably would demand the manifold to come out with it. The reward of pulling your engine is higher than most would assume. Because it allows you to solve half à dozen other issues you didn't even see before and remove previous owners tools etc that are in the engine  hasn't hour gearbox got time off soon anyway? In which case that's a third of the work already done....

  12. That's a shame Pete, I knew you were looking forward to it as well when I saw you a few weeks back. Holiday is a good offer though, so I'm sure you won't feel too hard done by haha.

  14. Cheers for the support guys. Sorry to hear that Russ, there will be pictures. Tradionally(yeah il use that word) we have met at the applemore tescos, being a Sunday it doesn't open till 10 and it's an empty carpark, various groups turn up here from across the country then we all cruise to the venue together. This results in a multi generational procession of Z's which has been over 30 cars long, then a few more stragglers arrive seperatly. Thus was last years thread for those who weren't there; http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?178052-FAO-quot-Simply-Japanese-quot-Beaulieu-attendees!&highlight=Simply+japanese And that thread, that caused so much assumement. Can't find the pictures ATM. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?178279-Simply-Japanese-Honest-John-write-up&highlight=Simply+japanese

  18. It's a really relaxed affair, family friendly etc. It's ine of the few my other half attends because she can wonder round the abbey and gardens. Obviously the site is very child friendły too. You won't be caught in that stood in carpark with a bunch of strangers issue.

  20. Slightly jumping the gun, however I've sent the mail today to start organisation for our club stand at the event. It's on the 2nd of August and the link is here; http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/club-rally/simply-japanese?overrideMobile=true&ignoreUserAgent=true Same price as always at a very reasonable £10 for access to the motor museum and grounds. The event will encompass a few zclubs and is always a good turnout normally over 30 cars and z32s are not a massive minority. If the demand is there a pre event cruise to the venue will be organised. Bear with me details will start coming through in more concrete form, at which point il be asking for names, is a very casual family event though and tickets are usually available on entry for the commitment phobic. Here's to another year. Entrance is slightly earlier than last year at 9am. If you wish to travel the last few miles in convoy like previous years. The rally point is as follows, please be there at 8 with the intention to be leaving around half past to quarter too.
