  1. I have some set thoughts on the current system, a lot of the wrong people are in prison and a lot of people are allowed to get away with stuff for too long. The application of the law of the land is inconsistent and heavy handed in areas it shouldn't and non existent where it should. It's become about stats and money rather than public interest. Don't forget your guilty until you prove your innocence. If you can't prove you didn't do it and there's political interest no matter how pathetic your stuffed. Enjoy your stay because your life is ruined when you write 2014-2020 HMP blah blah.
  2. I'm just chasing my tail. The body is/was good. The tubs failed, I rebuilt then, then the engine failed I swapped it, now I've got another turbo failed. Its so annoying and expensive. I just want to drive the damn thing, without plumes of smoke intermittently arising.
  3. What's the fluid like? Is it still pink? Or has it gone brown?
  4. Replaced the drivers side turbo banjo bolt, it was wrong. So for the last two years I've been over pressurising that turbo with oil. Took it for a test drive, I can honestly say that it's currently no better. Really sick of this car now. Driving it is embarrassing.
  5. Is it the same torque converter mate? This is why I just converted to manual the autobox is menace.
  6. The stock wheels complemented with some spacers to stop the wheels looking so sunk in, look great. If only they were even an inch bigger in diameter I would of kept them. The improvement in ride quality on them with decent tyres is quite noticeable between a then and an 18/19" wheel imo, much more comfort.
  7. Oh you gotta love stuff like that! The five minute job that becomes a three hour task because of one pissy little bolt etc.
  8. Did you not have the little drilled and threaded holes on the disc hub? Wind a bolt in and off the pop? Or were they that seized?
  9. Expect to import, expect to pay too much. That's the current scenario.
  10. Man power mate, just pull she.
  11. A good quality semi synthetic 10-40w is what I and most others choose to use. A lot of companies sell oil in 4L containers these days and one of those is enough, unless you have a large cooler and empty this too. The stock system holds a measly 3.5L of oil, hence the need esp in turbo models to change it regularly. Don't forget when you get the filter to get a replacement copper washer, otherwise the sump plug will likely leak. Alternatively and my preference is buy an aftermarket magnetic sump plug. Not only do they collect metal shavings and let you in on extra info they also stick to the pan instead of falling straight in the oil drip tray.

  13. I think you will find that's 8 odd litres including the torque converter. If that was pre filled then the remainder is just what's in the box.
  14. Is that because the loom is extended by a series 1 to series 2 ptu conversion?
  15. I can see how that could get you a tug art, they don't like it when you display blue light. Did you have a chat with her majesty's Mafia over it? I'd be surprised if you didn't get a friendly chat or a bill, although as it appears atm. If you live at an odd number then they won't persue it anyway. Haha
  16. You are correct there Joel. Every time Nissan themselves comment, they say stuff like we want to return to the 240 concept, you never hear them claim to want to return to the Z32 as it was a bit of a freak.
  17. Having just done the rounds looking for something beige for the wife, the price differences or lack are very surprising. Toyota and Mazda were more expensive than VW iirc! They certainly were not substantially cheaper. I walked out of Hyundai laughing, seriously since when did cheap Korean cars suddenly command Europeon money, I know they are catching up and look much better these days but come on. I must admit I walked straight past Nissan, I don't like anything they make atm other than the 370 and GTR, neither of which are ideal boxes for madam or within the budget. Skoda was in the end the best quality for price that I found imo.
  18. Fire breathing Zeds died at the millennium. The 33 and 34 whilst both perfectly good competent cars are not of the same league by comparison. The are built to a price and are not flagship cars. In 1989 300hp was big power, now it's hatchback country, not even bonkers special hatches just hot hatch land. The z32 was the GTR of its day. Let's not forget, the R35 is not a skyline per say, it's not a saloon car even. It's a large luxury coupe with a twin turbo v6 that's aiming to be a Japanese super car, sound familiar? To my mind it's a love child between z32 and r34 with modern world technology and power. The z33 is like a NA Swb version of a GTR in a way, you get some of the looks but without paying so much and without the power. A late spec 33 is faster than a 32 and a 32 will struggle to keep up with a 34 standard. That's in a straight line. Stock for stock these newer Zeds are a lot more composed. They damn well should be being a decade newer. Rumours of a 390z and a 4 banger version, then that weird iDX that was due to replace the Z. It's a rumour mill, one that's been going round and round. Unfortunately there isn't room or funding for two flagship nissans, we will not get a 600hp Z35 costing half a mortgage. Sorry but it won't happen, they won't even provide a true skyline GTR. The GTR is the one flagship and I can't see that changing. Nissan want to compete with the BRZ and GT86 a much more budget market. Personally I think put the poor zed to bed, the last two were a step backwards. If you want a cheap, esp if it's a smaller displacement 4 banger etc, bring back the silvia. It's a name that will get the kids excited far more anyway. They are bringing out a bonkers pulsar gtiR.
  19. The power steering fluid for the z32 isn't normal power steering fluid. You should use dextron III automatic transmission fluid.
  20. It's not really the gauge that's the issue tbh. It's the sender, the stock senders break pretty easy. With a new OEM sender the readings are pretty accurate. Get yourself a new OEM sender and hook it up. Is the car NA or TT? I'm not a fan of having repeat gauges. Is two water temp ones esp of one doesn't work, just looks bodge.
  21. Didn't someone report one missing a few months back?
  22. If you want proof of that just look at their environmental polocies or health and safety.
  23. Are we all picking on you? I actually don't mind the wheels...
  24. I've got a certificate somewhere....somewhere.
  25. I should have changed. I won't be renewing in two years time!!!
