  1. Formula bonnet and a 74? Fascia. Also very noice.
  2. That looks bang on.
  3. And it would appear exactly the same as ones sold on eBay for £160....
  4. I don't do more than about 3-5K in mine per year. Each spring I treat it to a new genuine oil filter and some decent 10-40w semi synth. Works a treat.
  5. Inside all day thank god :red_indian:
  6. Now you say it, yeah corse it is why wouldn't it be  cheers for that boys. Yeah I was in the Solent today, back and forth from the izzle of bizzle.
  7. Sailed or drove, not quite sure how to class that one past this today at work. I assume it's something to do with oil... Crap photos I know. I can only describe it as a one hundred foot long cone. Strapped to the back of a boat.
  8. Cod they are crap in the wet and grippy tyres = resistance which = higher fuel consumption. Those labels are for numpties to decide what tyres they want to pay for at quickfit. Pretty irrelevant in this scenario.
  9. He's not been online for like a year. I have him on a reef keeping forum I use as well, same thing. Hope he's ok, nice bloke.
  10. Am I interested in having my car on display there and would I want to are different questions. Yes I'd be honoured to have it sat there flying the flag, do I think it belongs there, no. It's a tidy car compared to most things on the road, esp for something 10+ years old. It does however bare the scars of gravel and weather and good old fashioned use. It's certainly not in the same league as some of the previous attendees and not anything close to cars put in by a friend of mine that would pay off most people's mortgages. The amount of cars we can have on stand is limited, very limited. It's not like any other show the club does. So what's on display there must represent the best the club can put on display. Personal taste doesn't really come into here. In all honesty there's probably only about 10 ish cars in the club that should be considered. Sorry if that sounds mean, like I say, mine isn't one of them. - - - Updated - - - Dazvert's vert is beautiful, he has disappeared of late though.
  11. Your proposing to use the 350 disc with the 300 caliper right. Using a relocating bracket. Tbh mate I'd save your money. The kit fails to make proper contact, the pad is the same size and realistically if your brakes are naff, the caliper is normally the problem. Unless you plan on tracking the car, in which case those brackets won't help much at all, if any. I'd get your original calipers rebuilt and get some good quality (brembo are a good price) discs and pads. The stock brakes are limited by the lack of grip on the tyres as a once of, their failing is they cook quickly and fade due to the weight of the car.
  12. Last winter I did a major overhaul of my suspension. Two of things I fitted to the rear were adjustable traction rods and I deleted the hicas. The kit I used effectively converts you to NA style rear arms. The issue I have, is the passenger traction rod has a habit of changing, pot holes etc cause it to change. I did consider locktiting it, however I've started to wonder, do I actually need this extra complication. The ball joint on the lower arm is a fixed position. So toe adjustment is changed by front AND rear arms. This is just over kill, no? A fixed length traction arm should in theory make life simpler. So should I, replace with fixed length stock ones or just lock tite the adjustable ones because there is benefit.
  13. You need fluid to have brakes birdy. If the resivoirs dry there's probably air in the master as well now which means priming it. Pain in the ass.
  14. I won't be attending. It's not my thing. Tbh if I get to Japfest that will be my last year of that event too.
  15. Not a flake here, suprisly, not. It's actually drizzling. Hard frost yesterday and the temp didn't pull much above freezing. So close to the sea here though it's pretty unlikely.
  16. I've driven mine in a 6" deep drift. It coped suprisly well, it wasn't very fun though. And corner more than slight and it was neutral to avoid wheel spin and sideways.
  17. Z32 Zone is what I was thinking of.
  18. Produre something like that. Available from Tokyo auto and that Japanese z place that doesn't export.
  19. I've attempted this. A monthly update to the region with upcoming news and events. I had a few problems. 1. In order to mail people you need them to be subscribed members. You also need there PM settings set up to accept your mails. 2. I was having about a 25% rate of rejection. So say you have 20 people in your area and 15 opt in to have the email. 10 arnt subbed and 2 or 3 of those the mail won't send. I was literally sending the mail to about 5 people. 3. Then you need something to put in there. Regurgitating what's been said on the forum is pants and as previously discussed meets get no where. Unsurprisingly it failed quickly. If we were to do it it would have to be club wide. Sent out to subbed and unsubbed members to their personal email. It could contain car of the month winner. Show photos etc and upcoming events. The trouble is WE the members must facilitate the ability to do something like this by participating. If no one enters car of month, if no meets happen, if no photos are taken and if no one shows up to stuff it's going to be a bloody boring mail shot. "Hi guys, this month everyone parked up their cars at home. No one entered car of the month and next month we won't be doing anything because no ones interested and are too busy. So we will tell you what happened online in January. Someone blew a fuse and someone else removed a spioler. Oh and there was some moaning about not enough shows." That would quickly be ending up in the spam folder.
  20. It is indeed well done. It's usually early August. That may free us up to do another show that's historically been the same day. - - - Updated - - - In fact I just checked, Wilton house classic and super car is the event but it's cancelled this year. Due to return in 2017
  21. The southwest my friend is britians forgotten region. At least Cornwall is sort of on the political radar, it's Daves holiday destination after all. Devon and west Dorset are just some empty space as far as the countries concerned lol.
  22. I'd just like point out two things. Firstly I don't have and neither does Howard a South central banner. When I need one I borrow it from Si. If we're at the same event that's fine however last time I needed it off him I had to drive to Northampton to get it. Granted I was passing for work so it worked out. That's the kind of thing people don't see. There are countless examples of what's done for the membership that's just never seen. I'm not painting myself a hero, don't take it that way please just an example. Secondly the praise for Simply is clear and that's great to hear. So il take the opertunity to remind everyone that this great event is in August and is down the Hampshire in the heart of the new forest. If we can drag enough of you out for the day. Let's say 30 z32s we will look at doing a BBQ or something.
  23. Il have a proper think and reply to this later. Being "one of the guys in the southwest..." What I will say, right now though is that the number of active members off forum who will attend meets is dire. You have to give something more than just a carpark in a pub 100 miles away, you equally can't give too much, it's going to cost you £100 for the day etc. As I say il answer properly later.
  24. How much damaged has been caused? Surely you can repair some cable and carpet.
