Did a quick google, i could not find anywhere that said the MID4 design was sold to honda, i think its just an assumption made from the fact it has similar looks to the nsx.

Well technically the mid 4 was the 80s so you could probably put the looks down to that somewhat.

I've seen the concept before and always thought it looks like a NSX, but I hadn't considered that it came so much earlier than the NSX. It's feasible that they took the design, whether or not it was bought.

 

Also, the part about the naming has to be *****cks.

Nsx actually stood for new sportscar experimental.

Not Nissan awd or whatever that guy put xD

The mid4 was never a production car an wasnt intended to be either, it was a concept and experiment plattform for Nissans v6 and attesa 4wd that found its way in to the skyline and zx among others

Correct, the concept and design was actually sold to Honda as Nissan deemed it too expensive to put into production. But the anagram of NSX does not mean as the guy from Wisconsin suggests.

I'm sure I've read that myself Si. In fact I'm pretty sure it is true that the NSX was developed from the mid4 with Nissans go ahead.
