Wheel spinning/ suspension
Does it spin up and run straight or does it want to fish tail? If it’s going straight it’s probably a heavy foot, wet greasy cold roads etc etc if it’s fish tailing... Mine went through a scary stage of wanting to fish tail and I pinned it back to the subframe bushes. You won’t achieve anything positive by simply lowering the ride height, it could be one of the shocks is failing. I’d get it up in the air and have a good look for worn components and if there’s nothing obvious have the alignment checked if not done recently.

RIP Mike Feeney of MJP
Very sad to see this, he will be missed for sure and has been a huge part of the Z community for many years.

London Ultra Low Emission Zone
Agreed, it’s my least favourite part of the south outside London.

If it’s anything like mine was then your rolling around at 40 mph in over drive making lots of deep vibrations and chugging along ?

300zx twin turbo injectors
There are a few types, early and late style side feed injectors made by JECs for nisssan. Early Z32s used a square plug type, later an square oval shape, the date this changed is different between TT and NA. Most Z32s will be early type. Early NAs have red square topped 270cc injectors. Early TTs have purple square topped 370cc injectors, this go a chocolate brown with heat and age. Later spec are the same colour and sizing. They are not however a drop in fit and require an adapter kit. The R33 as some models came with the late style 370s, same as a later model Z32s. GTR models and R34 cars had top feed 440cc injectors, these require too much effort to fit. There are Square oval side feeds in 440cc and 550cc in some factory cars such as Subaru’s. Be aware any change to the injector size will require a new EPROM to run the correct fuelling. Remapping is possible either by a chipped and socketed ECU and fitting an off the shelf EPROM or preferably a custom map. There aren’t too many people who will touch the Z32 ecu as a stock unit and switching out for a Nistune board will make finding a tuner easier.

Have you used third gear yet? Your national speed limits only 40 mph isn’t it? ? I visit jersey for work now an again, usually fly in though tbh.

London Ultra Low Emission Zone
They could roll it out across the country, there’s no money and no transportation other than cars outside the M25. Good luck charging people round here, the courts will over flowing.

Broken camshaft
Are those numbers cold or warm? Quite low, I’d want at least 130psi really. Number 6 is pretty low compared to the others in the bank. Your theory seems logical. Hopefully you’ve not bent a rod. I can you having to pull the block to go much further forward tbh. I’d want to see the view with the pan and heads off.

Broken camshaft
Which cylinder is failing to fire? Personally I’d hook up compressed air to failed cylinder and rotate the crank, if operating correctly you should hear the air being ejected from the inlet and exhaust as the combustion cycle is performed. If only one cylinder is failing to operate then I would think the chances of this are low. Regardless as above is a sensible step in diagnosis. You’ve already stated compression seemed ok, what numbers where produced over all?

Auto to manual conversion
Just bear in mind Art that the weight or rather mass of the flywheel has function, it’s mass is to carry inertia and make the transition from stop start smoother and keep the engine turning. I’m not saying you will notice but you might be paying for something that doesn’t give YOU a desirable benifit. Bearing in mind iirc you wish for your car to be a cruiser rather than a angry thing. Just something to consider.

Project Dittohead Red
The objective is to get something presentable, it’s no show pony and I’ve no interest in creating a show car. I’m looking a solid non metallic with the shuts done. Engine bay can be done at a later date then the engines out for one reason or another. So realistically it’s exterior panels tailgate and door shuts. The JFDI is quite apt, il remind you of that at one point.

Project Dittohead Red
After lots of thought, backwards and forwards on the idea I’ve made a decision on the cars future. It’s not essentially the choice I would of liked to have made in the ideal world and I’ll explain that as I go, the important part is I’m keeping it. The other cars I would of liked or that may of been a happy compromise just have to many negatives or too larger financial implications, for example I’ve looked a Z4 coupe, beautiful car but due to being newer the monthly cost of insurance and tax is significantly higher, I’ve looked at a few chunks of classic American metal, whilst the running cost and maintenance is lower they aren’t a cheap intial outlay these days and realistically to make one into what I want we’re talking about a full rebuild and move to a hot rod really. So whilst my Z32 isn’t everything I’d like it to be and lacks that 8 cylinder sound track it’s a good compromise all round for a list of things that aren’t together unless I go and spend £30k, about what you’d pay for a nice Corvette, which is the cost of the extension planned to the house... So what’s the plan then, around this ramble. Full exterior refresh, this will include some subject mods that will upset some but the end package will be what I want. The refresh will include a colour change, I never wanted a red one, colour change will be kept quiet. Thoughts? Maybe you’ve an idea to facilitate a cheap respray?

Devil Z on trc channel.
Saw this with that set up on Fastest Car, it was quick then, it’s quicker now. 8.91 second quarter miles on a stock bottom end and people say the bottom end is only got forcabout 400hp

Brexit Poll
That’s the official line yeah, I think the reality is different. Boris has deliberately tried and failed so far, to trigger that process because he knows he needs a smaller win than May got to gain a majority. Labour are also aware of this, they’re also aware the most likely outcome of a GE is a hung Parliament, so they would have to make a deal with someone, all this fence sitting they’ve done of being the official party of Brexit/Remain depending on what they think you’d like to hear has really turned voters on to them. - - - Updated - - - *Has not really turned voters on.

If the 300zx was made today
Apparently it’s a Electric car, because there’s zero ducting to allow air to an engine up front there. Slight ooops. - - - Updated - - - Apparently it’s a Electric car, because there’s zero ducting to allow air to an engine up front there. Slight ooops.

Brexit Poll
Still gotta get that deal through Parliament Gary, in a minority government when the prop (the DUP) are apposed your plan. Expect to see terms written by Labour to support it on the terms of a second referendum, or to vote it down and put in the no confidence vote. Labour will do whatever they can to trigger a general election, national interest be damned.

Why......??
Cynically? Probably because they haven’t seen enough profit from this project and will pull that magic one out as the next big fix. The trouble with electric cars isn’t the power supply, although that’s a factor, it’s the Carbon foot print and complications of production and disposal. Regarding XR, I really wonder how many people know what they are supporting when they fly thier flag. I’m glad there’s something new for me to cast my skeptic eye upon and get called a right wing bigot for.
-
Why......??
Same reason they are looking to drop Lamborghini. Over a thousand climate change protesters have been arrested this week in London alone. The extremist pressure is high on governments and the car is public enemy number 1 after aircraft.

Price fall?
I never forget driving an original Beetle, such a cult car... I literally would pay not to drive one.
-
Price fall?
Not saying they are all my opinion, they are wildly held opinions though. For thier time, they were quick, by modern standards though... and that’s what people think about.
-
Price fall?
Sadly the latter. They have a reputation, some they deserve others they don’t. That list includes, expensive to maintain and modify, unreliable, heavy with poor handling, rust buckets, over complicated and believe it or not... slow, yup, slow.
-
Price fall?
Any illusion that I’ve made money on mine is complete deception. It would have to worth about £15k for me to have made money on it over that last decade. However as someone who is in the position of consideration of moving on (no secret) the real world value has meaning, simply because; If I can get something else I want more or something else I’d want with some equity, that’s a big pull to sell. Realistically everything I’ve got my eye on would require a top up on the toy fund to get me to 10-15k. Whilst I have no need to sell, thankfully, I have a number of other large financial comitments at present.
-
Price fall?
Undoubtedly. Even other cars of the same marque like the 200sx or GTiR have crept up in value significantly. Skyline GTRs are really up there.

Price fall?
Mr Parsons car would of sold quickly, if it was at a fair price. The car is a celebrity because of the brand Simon built around it throughout his ownership, there would of been a que of people waiting to buy it. Even if it sold for £30k it’s sale isn’t really a reflection on the market as a whole, it’s like a film car or something with a following.
