  1. I hate the Ariel. It's there but inactive, I don't have a stereo anymore anyway. I may well ditch it completely. I hated hicas. Both broken and fixed I found it unnearving. The way it would create this floating feeling as if the car was just about to slip. Then when it did slip the thing became dumb witted and slow causing fish tails as I could never decide how much to correct. Nice gimmick and great for wafting around but when your going some. No thanks.
  2. There is a Tien UK. You can phone them up and speak to them order spares etc. I dealt with a really helpful guy when I was rebuilding a set of Tien HRs.
  3. You can't go mixing your south wests and south easts, gets us all in a piss. South West is best, obviously.
  4. Thought you had fitted goose honk killers?
  5. The small number. 35,40 etc are a percentage so a 265/35 is equalish to a 225/40 in terms of rolling diameter. There are calculators available if you search to work these things out.
  6. It's some LED configuration I believe. It's a really clean tidy car.
  7. I'm sure your right. New venue, new parties involved. Teething issues are guaranteed. I'm sure once there it won't detract from things and it's a great venue, regardless of other factors.
  8. I'm glad I missed out on going this year if this is what's going on.
  9. Pulling out Oscar Wilde quotes wouldn't fly with Dorsetshires finest I'm afraid.
  10. Looks fantastic. However it's a slight MOT failure lol.
  11. I don't think I've got one of those. Certainly never noticed it.
  12. Nice and shiney. If you want some stupidly deep gloss. Clay bar it, if you've never before, you will be shocked how much dirt comes out "clean" paint. Then hit it with some poor boys diamond white, remember to use this as a polish, actually work it. Then a coat of poor boys red wax. It will come up like this;
  13. Maybe the symptom was repaired without attending the cause.
  14. If you look down the drivers side of the radiator, you will see the connections. If it's a JDM car then that's all there will be. If it's a UK car this will extend through the front nose cone and a small cooler is there. You will soon know if it's right or wrong as autobox fluid is pink. I wouldn't run without a cooler. Overheating seems to be a primary reason for failure which is why most, especially JDM owners choose to fit larger coolers for the box. It doesn't need to be fancy just a small cooler will do the job. You could even upgrade your engine oil cooler and use the, cleaned out, old cooler for the box.
  15. Most if not all aftermarket rads will be manual only. This simply means the pissy little tube, known as the auto box cooler, that runs through the rad is absent. All this means is you need to add a small external cooler for the box. You cannot T into the engine oil cooler because they are completely different fluids. Also even if they weren't the engine oil cooler doesn't run constantly or even thermostatically but via pressure. It operates on part of the time.
  16. Keep the cars, leave London
  17. I can never decide wether I like those gauge pods.
  18. Whilst you guys are looking in, is what I've posted factual? Any misconception on my behalf here?
  19. Il bosh up some pictures and a diagram tomorrow.
  20. That flyer looks awful. In the times we now live in, that simply looks unprofessional. If you've got teenagers, show them that flyer and ask if they could knock up something better, I virtually guarantee you they can. Looks like village fate flyer for charity not a £50 a ticket mahout event. Not just the appearance but the content of the flyer. Tbh, it seems a lot of the big shows are going south. I've done Japfest a number of times, I normally am bored by lunch and I'm off. So I was really only interested to get some track time. However this year not only did they move the southern one to the Midlands, so they are both now in the Midlands. I won't get to hung up on that because time wise despite being twice the distance it's the same travel time. (just shows how poor the southwest road network is.) which in the zed really bumps up the cost of the day, fuel etc. Silverstones probably a better venue anyway. They should of pulled Japfest 2 further north. The tickets appeared to go on sale just after Christmas. Your waiting for payday and half of not all the slots are gone. I just resigned myself from waiting till payday, to disinterested and then suddenly the choice was out my hands. It seems there becoming money making monsters. In reality you get very little for your dosh. I'd describe the trade stands as token. So effectively it's a carpark. This is why events like Simply are great. It's a family day out at a reduced rate, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of bits going on. For £10 for an adult you can go round a museum, visit historic houses, watch falconry, unleash the kids in the play park, ride a friggen monorail and have a picnic. Oh and drive through one of the most picturesque parts of the country. For a tenner!
  21. That's the correct way to do it.
