  1. Muchhhhhhh, better. Watch a few YouTube tutorials on wet sanding of it worries you. I was really apprehensive about it myself but as long as you follow the grades and stick at it it comes up great. Just a touch scary that first grit.
  2. I think day to day your right Andrew, you won't feel it. For me I only found it an issue on the limit and over the limit. I take what you say about it being incorporated in some high end new cars however it's my understanding that they are a bit more advanced. Very similar to the conversation being had recently about automatics, they have come along way. I had the early 89 hydraulic version.
  3. I hate the Ariel. It's there but inactive, I don't have a stereo anymore anyway. I may well ditch it completely. I hated hicas. Both broken and fixed I found it unnearving. The way it would create this floating feeling as if the car was just about to slip. Then when it did slip the thing became dumb witted and slow causing fish tails as I could never decide how much to correct. Nice gimmick and great for wafting around but when your going some. No thanks.
  4. There is a Tien UK. You can phone them up and speak to them order spares etc. I dealt with a really helpful guy when I was rebuilding a set of Tien HRs.
  5. You can't go mixing your south wests and south easts, gets us all in a piss. South West is best, obviously.
  6. Thought you had fitted goose honk killers?
  7. The small number. 35,40 etc are a percentage so a 265/35 is equalish to a 225/40 in terms of rolling diameter. There are calculators available if you search to work these things out.
  8. It's some LED configuration I believe. It's a really clean tidy car.
  9. I'm sure your right. New venue, new parties involved. Teething issues are guaranteed. I'm sure once there it won't detract from things and it's a great venue, regardless of other factors.
  10. I'm glad I missed out on going this year if this is what's going on.
  11. Pulling out Oscar Wilde quotes wouldn't fly with Dorsetshires finest I'm afraid.
  12. Looks fantastic. However it's a slight MOT failure lol.
  13. I don't think I've got one of those. Certainly never noticed it.
  14. Nice and shiney. If you want some stupidly deep gloss. Clay bar it, if you've never before, you will be shocked how much dirt comes out "clean" paint. Then hit it with some poor boys diamond white, remember to use this as a polish, actually work it. Then a coat of poor boys red wax. It will come up like this;
  15. Maybe the symptom was repaired without attending the cause.
  16. If you look down the drivers side of the radiator, you will see the connections. If it's a JDM car then that's all there will be. If it's a UK car this will extend through the front nose cone and a small cooler is there. You will soon know if it's right or wrong as autobox fluid is pink. I wouldn't run without a cooler. Overheating seems to be a primary reason for failure which is why most, especially JDM owners choose to fit larger coolers for the box. It doesn't need to be fancy just a small cooler will do the job. You could even upgrade your engine oil cooler and use the, cleaned out, old cooler for the box.
  17. Most if not all aftermarket rads will be manual only. This simply means the pissy little tube, known as the auto box cooler, that runs through the rad is absent. All this means is you need to add a small external cooler for the box. You cannot T into the engine oil cooler because they are completely different fluids. Also even if they weren't the engine oil cooler doesn't run constantly or even thermostatically but via pressure. It operates on part of the time.
  18. Keep the cars, leave London
  19. I can never decide wether I like those gauge pods.
  20. Whilst you guys are looking in, is what I've posted factual? Any misconception on my behalf here?
  21. Il bosh up some pictures and a diagram tomorrow.
