Auto box?
Look up the code; https://z32.wikispaces.com/Automatic+Transmission+Diagnostics I would see that as code 3, throttle sensor circuit. Thinking logically you've been working around that changing the pipes. Probably knocked the TPS. Clean the connection and ensure its seated correctly. Clear the code and try again.

Paint. Where did I go wrong.
It's odd that it happens to certain panels and not others. Really puts me off using 1k again.

Disastrous discovery! how bad is it?
I'm guessing if presented with a car with the front already stripped down, bumper off etc that the labour bill would fall drastically?

The new light idea.....
Buy a lecky one mate, much quicker.

Oh you can defiantly save her from that. It's just a case of time.

Paint. Where did I go wrong.
Oh that sucks! Really sad to see that mate. Sounds like you've had exactly the same thing happen.

Tyre Wear Advice
There's adjustment on camber and tie at the rear on the stock set up with a TT. It's not a lot though, a mild drop can put you out the range of adjustment. (The lower you go the more camber becomes an issue. If only one is like this then I would suggest it's an alignment fail. Toe angle with kill a tyre faster than camber.

Disastrous discovery! how bad is it?
Hrm. That's a doozey. It is a piece in its own right but iirc it's spot welded in. Looking at what you've got there the corrosion looks quite significant. I think it would be faster and probably mandatory to acquire that section from another shell and fit it. Getting to it very may well take longer than replacing it. I think Pete has replaced one of these before.

Code 34 - Can I use any det sensor?
I have a nose, I had a spare loom. Mines bypassed. Can't remember if I've binned it though. If I can find it, you can have it.

What did you do to your zed today?
I'm finding this more as well. Some guy was hanging out the window of his van filming my zed a few weeks back, waving me to boot it past him. (Bit of a tit using his phone while driving really.) he was proper excited about it though. Last year I guess, the response has been great. You get stopped by people in car parks and people point when you go past. People seem to all of a sudden like them. Slightly different but still a compliment I Spose. Me and gaz had a woman some while ago saying how she wished she could afford something like that blah blah blah. Bear in mind both cars are bright red. She thought we had a pair of Ferraris  bless her.

Code 34 - Can I use any det sensor?
It's under the lower plenum. If the solenoids gone then maybe. Removing the lower plenum is a pita. Bear in mind if you choose to repair the loom it's not quite how you'd think. The cable from the ECU is a sheathed cable, this then splits into two cables at the connector plug. You cannot just cut and join, you will have to decide what you've got and potentially split and splice the cable. Then if you decide to bypass it you need a resistor.

A front quarter at that.

I count 4 :p

Code 34 - Can I use any det sensor?
9/10 it's the loom not the sensor. Notice the code 34 is "knock sensor circuit" not "knock sensor".

Rear fog light MOT
I normally kick around while any things being done, simply to help with the cars quirks. It's hilarious to see people get in then struggle to find the seatbelt with the door open.

Rear fog light MOT
It was presence of a fog light. Rear fog lamp missing Fog lamp switch missing The car had already failed at this point. I then pointed out where the switch was. The switch illuminates both front fronts and two rear tails. Admittedly the 5w ones, wired up wrong on import i guess. This wasn't suitable. However no one else has ever commented let alone failed it. I've now installed a dedicated rocker switch with tell tale and this is operated in conjunction with the sidelights. This then illuminates the drivers side reverse light with a p21w red filament bulb. I've now dealt with all the things on the MOT test sheet aside from the exhaust mentioned in the advisories. Which I won't be changing for obvious reasons.

Oil cooler hose
Just go buy a few meters of oil hose in the correct diameter. Don't forget there's a restrictor in the line, think it's the line from the cooler to the pan. You will need this. Without it you could potentially have lower than preferable oil pressure at high revs.

My coolant temp goes way cold when driving downhill
Mine used to do this, when I cornered too fast or accelerated heavily it would drop to zero. The connector on front of the engine was breaking contact.

Rear fog light MOT
Sure to be said Greg il will be changing. I used to have a good guy but he's not about anymore. I know Gaz uses a fair guy so il probably use the same chap.

Mercedes
You will have to explain the details to me some when Richard. My HMRC tax brake down last year, the company car cost me a fair few quid if I understood it properly.
