  1. I'm in France from the 6th to the 14th and the following weekend I'm working.
  2. Mine aren't far off that. There's about 1/2" gap between caliper and wheel.
  3. Agreed, chrome belongs in the 60/70s.
  4. Meh, probably not. They do a rather tasteful brushed aluminium.
  5. Indeed Baz. Although I'm probably going to go for the silver rather than chrome.
  6. Cheers Alice, they look wiked.
  7. Oh they are  trust me.
  8. Can someone photoshop these wheels onto my car please?
  9. This is cool; http://www.amdrift.com/2012/07/brendan-commins-300zx-drift-car That is not.
  10. That alright, that's kinda a Wednesday only thing though.
  11. Now he's done it, I think Alice works well for you.
  12. Right. That's kinda what I'd worked out from what Russ said. I'm going to switch to a LPLV gun and have one more go. If that fails then il pay over winter.
  13. Of corse it will be of interest.
  14. Maybe he doesn't want it to sell? Under pressure from the Mrs etc and has just set a price that will soften the blow of it going.
  15. Having just been through this pain I can offer a reasonable response. The right hand pod the bottom wire I think you will find is the side light feed. Check this with a meter. Now turn it off. Link the side light to a cable which you feed under the dash and along the sill under the carpet, there's a few cables there. Up behind the quarter panel and into the boot. Drill a 20mm hole in the right pod somewhere discreet and fit the fog light switch. It needs a tale tell. I used this one; http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-Round-Illuminated-Rocker-Switch-Car-light-ON-OFF-12v-Red-Blue-Green-Amber-/251170272304?&txnId=1850574087015 Wire your switch in. It would be sensible to put an inline spade fuse between the spur from the side light cable and your new switch. Take the drivers side reversing light bulb and connect your new cable to the live side of the reverse light. The earth can be retained. Now all you need is a red p21w bulb. Bang one very descret and legal fog light.
  16. Your not a dummy Ash, you've obviously weighed it all up and decided it's worth it to you. That's your choice and I'm glad it will be saved.
  17. It's a lot more than his sill and arches. I take it you've got stuck into this kind of this before? What you can see is normally the tip of the iceberg. That's going to be both sills, probably most of the sill. Both rear arches. A rear quarter panel. An inner wing at least, maybe both. A door. Various patch repairs to the floor pan. The panel bill will be racking up quite nicely. That's with no labour. That's a serious undertaking esp for a novice. Months of work fitted around work and home learning as he goes. Now I dunno about you but I can pull a zed engine in an afternoon. With both cars sat there it's gonna take him a few long days of graft. Like I said, it's save able but it's not finically viable. Your talking about a car that's worth 5k tops, if a shell can be found for sub 1k it's a no brainier. If someone wished to go the expensive route that's great and power to them but if your going to pay for professional restoration your going to need deep pockets.
  18. Well the show ground opens at 9am for us to enter. I'm going to check if this is the earliest we can enter though to avoid que problems. I suspect we will be leaving the meeting point at 8.30 or so in respect of this. Il clarify once I've got the details.
  19. Agreed. Talking across purposes a bit there I think.
  20. Just had a message saying this thread was closed? - - - Updated - - - Open?
  21. In respect to the que's last year; "We are opening 2 entrances this year to try and ease the queues, however you may get diverted into a holding area due to the volume of traffic and depending on what time you and others arrive. Our aim at all times is to avoid people having to queue on the road and to get everyone in as quickly as possible." I hope that puts a few minds at rest over this.
  22. Go on throw a photo of your Renault up. :tt2:
  23. Treated her to a coat of wax and then gave the interior a lovely coat of leather cream care. This is how she looks out the window.
