Code 34 - Can I use any det sensor?
Starting to sound like a factory manual that. Tell tales inc, unless changed anyway; Balance bar, has an extra tee off on the left Clutch hard line that runs down the inner wing Loom difference by the Hicas solenoid Looking further, In the inner wing, drivers side, there will be expansion tanks, an auto will have modifications to the loom. If you lift the gear surround there's different connections that will be disused. Lift the board covering the ecu's in the foot well and you will most likely see the auto ecu. A common one is when you start the car the power light flashes on the right of the dash. There's plenty of ways to spot a converted car. I wouldn't worry too much though. Once converted you have a lower duration camshaft in TT autos (Na autos aren't) and a slightly smaller turbo. Just means you will start building boost further down and peak earlier, in reality this isn't particularly noticeable.

Do you have some pictures of your engine bay, there's a few tell tales.

Way off the mark?
Running them is cheap, just leave them alone. The more you modify them the more headaches you get.

That won't show your actual timing, just what it's supposed to be. You have to check with a timing light. You have deleted your Boost solenoids I take it?

Na to tt conversion
Prrrrrrrr that's um, worse than I thought. I mean it's repairable, but there's many many hours in that. It's the kind of project you take on to do yourself because these cars aren't worth enough to pay the panel and labour bill on that. To be totally honest ash unless your prepared to learn to weld and do that yourself then I think that's financially a bad choice. Hopefully someone will take it off you as a long term project. Re-shell mate. Sorry.

Ferrari replica anyone?
How far can you drive that without getting pulled by the fuzz. Haha!

How bad is your current slicktop?

What did you do to your zed today?
Just a shame they aren't handed, at you get 40 or 22 offset. Some more arch more required.

I'm pretty set on the jr15s in 9.5" et 22.

What ever... The cosmetic crap is becoming less important by the day for me. If the right swap came my way I might swap them for stockers plus whatever it was I wanted just for orginality. Hell I'd run stock wheels if the damn things fitted. I like the stock car, it just needs pushing out and down.

Ey ey ey, best aftermarket lights going those. I actually wouldn't swap mine for 99 specs.

Disastrous discovery! how bad is it?
Surely not all of that has to come out Jeff? The acordion pipes, Inter cooler to throttle body pipes, there all on the side of the rad that should have little bearing if any no? I'm sure the cornettos are from the boot in fact.

Auto box?
Odd that your Idle speed is up too. It's all kinds suggesting that your TPS is A factor. Have you tested and set TPS voltage?

Do you still have code 34? How are you regulating boost?

Way off the mark?
Let's not turn it into another auto vs manual debate. It's certainly got nothing to do with the "kidz". Older performance cars are always popular as manual for multiple reasons. Manual 300zx's are more popular and subsequently worth more, that's a fact. Finding a manual is harder, supply and demand. By the logic you apply the most desirable format would be a 2+2 twin turbo auto, when we know the most desirable is a stick top manual, the "poverty spec" it's simple supply and demand.

good tt engine
I know gaz/hellraiser had one for sale, don't know any thing more I'm afraid, for example if he still has it.

What's with the tipex? Did you have some spelling mistakes on them?

"Perfect" he says. One MOT percured, still got my advisory for noisey exhaust, maybe I should class that as a badge of honour.

Z32s at auction
It is crazy, esp when is a car that was sold there legally. We can have basically anything as long as it passes a test. You'd be sick if you saw how many skyline gtr's are over here, there's one in my road and another a few roads over.

A very good haul there. The purple 97 is a bit rough, the versionS is a beaut and that little white number is a winner.

PowerZed forged engine rebuild
The flare nut spanner will help mate. An open ended spanner on those soft nuts is a recipe for disaster.

speedo not working
This is exactly what mine used to do. I took the speedo out one day and that making and breaking of the contacts seemed to do it good. Haven't had the problem since.

Tyre Wear Advice
I tell you what, if your alignment is really poor, a good alignment will be night and day. Mine was all over the place with underside poor offset wheels when I got it, after I had that done and switched to stock wheels it was a different car.

Good price for a desirable car, short of being a manual it's the most desirable format in my opinion. As said though it may take a little while to find the right (interested party with money they are prepared to part with) buyer, rather than dreamers. If I was on the market one I think I'd pay that, but I'm not, I already own one.
