For the guys who have done it... Did you start with an NA or TT? If so, did you make the right choice? or would you have used the other one? A guy at work has a 400bhp chevy LS1 engine and 6spd gearbox for sale. he was going to put it in a morris minor of all things, but has run out of money. I might start to look into this as a zed project.

PS there were loads more than that... just thought I would give you a taster.

Can we have a best zed competition for xmas voted for by the members? We could have different categories, best body, best tech, best overall etc. I know we do mini versions of this at some of the National meets, but I don't remember doing a big version of this voted for by everyone. What do you guys think?

I have managed to sort this out today and my CD is in the post. I only have to pay £5 a car. I want the pics so I have gone ahead anyway..... I am pretty sure I have some of you going sideways! we will see when it arrives tomorrow! :dance:

I have salvaged most of the bits I need from a project car, but I cant take the suspension-wheels off the car or the body will just sit on my garage floor. How do you professionals get round this problem when stripping a shell?? Also - how do you dispose of a shell?

Hardware acceleration is generally when you have an additional graphics card which has more advanced dedicated graphics hardware used for rendering the pictures on the screen. All very usefull when making DVD's. Software acceleration is done when the computer has to do all this rendering in memory and it is managed by the operating system (not very good). It looks lile you should have a utility for your graphics card in your program list or in your control panel which will allow you to enable Hardware acceleration. If you can't find it, or there isn't one - let me know what version of Nero, windows and what graphics card you are using and, and I will see if I can find any clues. hth

s2 is the rounded one, the S1 was the original 80's square one. they made both as 2wd and 4wd(quattro). so you can get a 2wd S2 if you want to save money, but I'd go for a quattro every time.

I had the 2.3 quattro, very nice car with no faults other than it eats brake pads/disks and tyres at a rate I couldn't believe which ends up being expensive. but apart from that a very solid drive with great handling. not as quick as you'd expect though and space inside is similar to the zed.

I really loved that car, and I have had the boot on both feet, trust me. To hear more and more problems are happening with the car I loved so much is killing me. I wouldn't have sold her if didn't need to fund my wedding. It would take much to see where the car came from, just a quick post search and so it was most certainly directed at me. I am not the type to have a rant, or have a go at anyone, as you can see from my 700+ posts over the past 2 years. So when I see this, I feel entitled to voice my opinion.

Well if I am over reacting, I appologise.... but I loved my zed to an unhealthy degree. I keep hearing from Dave about issues with it and it breaks my heart. Then to read that he 'tried to contact the member but doesnt reply! nice chap!' sounds like he meant me. Not a day goes by that I don't regret selling my zed, to the point I have even started looking for a replacement.... but I only know of three other Dark blue manual TT's in the the country so I know I won't find another like mine ever.

I am happy to let everyone know it was me who sold this car and would like to straighten a few points out, but I will do this in a seperate thread, so not to take away from any advice you might get. Make no mistake, I am pi$$ed! :nono:

I have always been a bond fan, as if my username wasn't a give away. My take is this.. Connery is bond. Ian Flemming hand picked him and worked closely with him to make him the perfect Bond. The books were written alongside the connery films, so the Connery character of Bond and Flemmings character in the books are one in the same... But just because Connery was closest to Flemmings idea of Bond, that doesn't actually mean they were the best movies. Lazenby was underated as was Dalton. The Moore years took Bond in a new light entertainment direction. All easy to watch and funny but not really Bond. Brosnan's films could have been great, but he just wasn't tough enough. You can't quite believe he could kick @ss. I think Daniel Craig will be the best of the bunch. Close to Flemmings original character and gritty and tough too. Either way - it's a franchise that will run and run and run. I can't see them making 21 Bourne movies!

chesse wire? must be rare - I've never heard of it. cheese wire will be easier to get hold of, and probably cheaper than chesse wire. pmsl!

I have just been on the phone to them, they said it took one month to process the order because someone was on holiday, now I can't have the CD because I had 28 different cars on it, which goes against the terms and conditions as stated on the website. I Can still have the CD but I have to pay an extra £10 per car? so I told them to stuff it! Then I checked the website and there is NO reference to this extra £10 per car - so I called them back and let them know I am not best pleased! They are investigating and will call be back with a best price? I just want a refund now...!

It was an 'N300 *** reg' but apart from that it really was identical. spooky.
