  1. I have seen the crystal clear indicators, and they look great, but with the fron drivers lights next to them looking old, its a bit odd. Does anyone supply crystal clear front fog/drivers lights too?
  2. Neil, you didn't PM me your details??
  3. You'll go a tenner if I do Sarah? How can I refuse! Not often I get paid for it!
  4. I am interested too... maybe we can get another group buy going?
  5. I will sponsor the pair of you, PM me details on how I can send you both money.
  6. Do these have to be replaced in pairs? I think my passenger side rear one is starting to grumble. I have looked on here quite a bit, and can't see a fitting guide. Does anyone have one?
  7. I know some of you have experimented with GRP... where did you get the raw materials from? I am looking on the net and the deals don't seem great at the mo...
  8. ok, so I am feeling pretty confident driving zed... I have had many high performance rwd cars of various capabilities, and I do a few track days each year, but................... I would like to get some one on one tuition in MY car... not one of these gift experience days. Does anyone know of a company that does that sort of teaching?
  9. My neighbours have started to board up their windows, and as I leave my estate I can hear cars alarms going off, dogs barking and babys crying in my wake........ My Mrs is telling me it's due to the stainless steel exhaust that is on my TT. Does anyone produce a high performance that is actually quiet? Do you have a SS exhaust you wish was a bit louder? give me a shout and maybe we can do a deal...
  10. sorry for hijacking - but is there a guide for rear wheel bearing?
  11. He's not been a member for long, but he is a very knowledgable guy and that hasn't stopped him being an incredible help to me today! Star bloke and deserves lots of pints! :duffer: :duffer:
  12. Outside of this forum I am a secret agent.... This is just an alias. I can't tell you my real identity - so I chose this name so I could stay ingognito.... And none of you have ever suspected the reason I bring my video equipment was really to spy on you all for the poopra club!
  13. What would be the chance of bringing my vid equipment along to something like this. Having zeds in a proper photo-shoot location would make for a really interesting feature!
  14. I am currently building a westfield/caterham/locost type car and need some advice on painting. Since this is a low budget track day car only, I am not sending it to a paintshop. I have a 25L compressor which came with a spraygun. I have never painted anything before, so I have some questions. Is it possible to get reasonable quality finish with this kit or should I buy a better quality spraygun? If so which one. Is there anthing different I need to do when painting the steel chassis and bodytub to the glassfibre arches and boot surround? If so what? Does anyone have a guide to painting or any advice for me? Doesn't have to be show standard, as its only a track day car, but I want it to look nice.
  15. Thanks for that mate, I was looking in youtube!
  16. Does anyone have a copy of the top gear video showing how tough a toyota hilux pickup truck is? It's the one where clarkson drive it into a tree, straps it to a beach, hits it with a wrecking ball, puts it in a demolished building then sets it on fire and still drives it into the studio....? I can't find it on the net anywhere.
  17. I am putting together the footage from the last mids meets and will be re-editing some of my old stuff. Since I want to use my footage on my video website, I will need music for which I won't get beaten up legally for royalties. Do any of you want to put your music to some of the vids I have done in the past and my new stuff going forwards? I will post full credits in every film I do and have a link to you on my website for anyone who participates. Examples of my early stuff here: http://www.putfile.com/stevie007
  18. Not strictly true.. Your salary and tax is worked out for every payment. So lets assume you earn 50k, and that your tax allowance is 300L. (this is the tax code on your payslip and the number refers to the amount you are allowed to earn before you start to pay tax), and the higher rate income tax 40% tax bracket is £34k+ So for this month you would have a gross salary of £4166.00 (50k/12) then your employer deducts you tax allowance of £300 (300L = 3000/12) so your taxable amount is gross salary - taxable allowance £3866 (4166-300) we now need to work out the tax on this. this is just £34k/12 = £2833. Everything over that is taxed at 40%. (Taxable salary £3866 - standard rate taxable amount £2883) = £983 to pay 40% on. the rest is taxed at standard rate income tax. Total salary would = £300 Tax allowance = £300 £2883 Taxable at standard rate = £2883-17.5% (504) = £2378 £983 Taxable at higher rate = £983-40% (393) = £589 So for the £4166 you earned you would walk away with £3267 after tax. this does not take into consideration other deductions like NI or anything else you might have. Now to answer your original question "is there anything I can do to avoid paying 40%?" Yes, ask your employer to pay your bonus each month (so you salary is only increased by (bonus/12) and hope that doesn't take you over the 40%. To answer the second question "will I have to pay 40% on the rest of my salary" no, as above it's worked out monthly. It should average out over the year. and if it doesn't - they still get it back in the self assesment! Just swap the figures for your own real figures to work out your own salary stuff.... Hope this helps.
  19. I'll 'come on down' for a bumper/lights and rear lights package if 'the price is right'!

I bought 3x rounds of drinks @ £13/round and bought 2x adult meals and 2x kids meals which came to £28 plus tip, all in all I spent about £75 on the 4 of us. I reckon out of the 14-15 cars that turned up at least 20 people ate food and even more bought drinks. The manageress was out of order imho.
  21. Thanks Guys - Your both stars.... I'll sort you out with a nice :duffer: at the meet tomorrow!
  22. Alfo, do you have a back catalogue I can listen to?
  23. I think everyone should be able to read and write correctly too, but this is a social forum about nice cars and its members - not a job interview or english lesson.
  24. Hi Snipe, Do you have a website or any examples of work your company has produced? Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for the zeds.
