And that was what happened... Too much power made the wheels spin - but my TC was set to wet and I thought that couldn't happen. This was not a skid induced by lifting off, I was powering round a corner and my wheels started to spin. I caught it in plenty of time and continued as normal. I wasn't even going that fast - it really was like I had no TC on at all.

But mine HAS got 1000bhp.... The power zoomed up as soon as I installed my state of the art, carbon fibre, high pressure, low resistance, max power, ultra sleek, highly desireable, limited edition, ultra deluxe, special offer, buy now pay Feburary, no purchace neccessary, gourmet fluffy dice. I think I need to lay down!

joined the A45 from the M42 slip road this morning. Long sweeping bend going uphill. I gave it just a little bit too much welly and got sideways... a nice bit of accidental drifting. :dance: anyway I took it easy the rest of the way to work because I thought I had left my Racelogic TC on 20% and it was raining. When I got to work I went to change it and saw the TC was set to wet???? :headvswal Surely I shouldn't be able to spin my wheels with TC set to wet. Whats going on?

On a serious note, cant you recut the thread with a tap & Dye set?

What way is the convoy going? I am coming down the M5 to J8 then along the M50. If I can join up with you guys I can make sure I have my car mounted cameras rolling to get the full convoy action!

I saw Fairladygirls car there - but nobody standing near it.... I saw one other black zed at the entrance and as I was leaving I saw a white zed with lots of green detailing on it coming in. That was it. Not even other clubs turned up?? It was a very quiet show to say the least!

where do I get em, and how much are they?

+ Stevie007 and the Mrs and kids too - so wont be coming in a Zed - but I will be coming with all my camera equipment! so its all good.

I couldnt find a guide on here but did see pointers like keep the caliper supported so.... I saw the 2x 19mm bolts that looked to hold the caliper in place and removed them, sure enough the caliper came away and I rested it on an axel stand so not to stress the pipe. the disk came away very easily and i swapped it for the new one. So far so good and I was feeling very pleased with myself never having tried brakes before! Now I can't get the caliper back on! Do I need to remove the brake pads first? and If so, how? Please help as I want to go to Modified madness tomorrow!

I have had both corrado VR6 and Merc cosworth and they are two completley different beasts. The VR6 2.9 was a real cracking engine and it looked great, but being FWD it was a bit girly and torque steer was a killer. The merc was a real drivers car and at the time was a very close 2nd to the BMW M3 a much better car than than the VR6. If you can find a good original one with full service history - go for it. You wont regret it.

I have arranged to buy a really lovely zed which is 99% finished from a local guy. Not having all the cash, I need to sell my zed to help pay for it and it is breaking my heart to think the old girl is going... Things I have ordered before I decided to sell have started to be delivered like new 3G brake disks which turned up today (Thanks Maxsunny). I went to fit them today and couldn't look at her for more than a few minutes without feeling really bad - like I was letting someone down! What would you do? Would you sell the zed you have worked hard to get sorted and buy a finished one? or would you keep the failth and finish what you started?

Thats the FTO, the GTO is the 4wd turbo jobbie. How do they compare with a zed?
