Noise Reduction...
Not sure what's easier, sound deadening all the interior or just changing the back boxes? Obviously replacing the exhaust will be more expensive but probably easier than stripping the interior? Just a thought.

Will these wheels fit?
You should think about signing up to a few of the other car club websites and offer your services there also. I'm sure there are many people in the midlands looking for your type of service, but just need a little nudge..

Puff of smoke on boost.....
It always looks a hundred times worse when you see it illuminated by someone's headlights - anyone who's driven a diesel should know this. Quite likely that it's just unburnt fuel.

Found My Stolen Escort!
Well the good news is rob, it's still worth roughly what you paid for it - the bad news is, it will cost you that much to get it recovered.. But, if you also got mr scrap man to weigh in the frontera (which might be tricky as its not technically yours) then you might make a profit. Don't suppose your stud changing centre things were still in the boot were they? Does make you wonder what the little fookers were upto though. Obviously hadn't pinched it to get home, so they must have just done it for the sake of it. So I agree, torture the little swines until they wish they were dead. AT least you have closure now, if nothing else.

New BMW as bent as a banana, shame
agreed, a term which is banded around so frequently that it has almost become worthless - especially when attached to a you tube video, in order to attract views. I was fully expecting to see the Beemer wrapped round a tree and the occupants crawl from the wreckage on fire, before rolling to a slow and painful death on the verge. You can imagine my disappointment.

BBC2 8pm How to build a Supercar (Mclaren)
How did you manage that then richard? I've heard that they're not that easy to come by..

New BMW as bent as a banana, shame
Didn't look bent to me? Did look like the rear wheels weren't pointing forward though. Maybe he should fit a Driftworks Hicas Eliminator kit?

im going to be a dad
Could have been, but if I wanted to watch a program like shameless I'd just open my living room curtains instead! Maybe it happens more often than you would think! I am not in any way suggesting Shell is a fat minger however, just to be clear!

im going to be a dad
A woman I used to work with in a pub (who was slightly on the large side, well no, actually she was obese), didn't realise she was pregnant until she went into labour during her shift. It was a bloody right mess in the kitchen that night. Eww. Congrats - hope everything goes to plan with the scans and so on and good luck getting that room ready!

Ian Jnr.
LOL - gives a whole new meaning to the 'Passing out parade' WTF is going on at Cadets these days? Kids dropping left, right and centre - they should be reported for child abuse. Hang on, let me re-phrase that.. They should be done for negligence of care. No food, no drinks and hot clothing - sounds like boot camp for soldiers!

Ian Jnr.
Well, if it's any consolation - chicks love scars - cos they make you look tough :gunsmilie: My old man had a similar scar when he was a kid and he turned out OK, obviously! All the best Ian Jnr - take it easier next time, eh!

Finally got one after a year of waiting for insurance :P photos!!
Good things come to those who wait? Welcome to the club, buddy - hope the wait was worth it! I'm liking the rear wing and wheels combo. Happy Zedding! Shame on you for posting pics of her dirty - you wouldn't post dirty pics of your missus would you? Oh hang on, don't I know you from that other site?

Engine transplant
I see your sentiment Hollowpoint, I would agree - 95%. The obvious benefit will be the near 100kg weight saving over the front axle however. If you only want 300-350bhp then the SR will be able to cope well enough, but the benefit to handling would be very noticeable I would guess. If your end goal was a fully stripped track/drift toy then I thnik it makes sense. If, however, you intend to retain the interior and use the car mainly on road, then I think it makes no sense whatsoever.

Mileage when changing clocks
Well then, let's just actively encourage it! What's the difference between the S2 and S4 clocks though. I was informed that it was not possible to do this on later models without damaging the units themselves?

Smoking in Cars?
Personally, I'm glad that smoking in pubs and restaurants was banned. Even though I smoke, now when I'm drinking I only smoke a fraction as much, which has to be a good thing? Also, even I don't like people smoking when I'm eating. My girlfriend doesn't like me smoking in my house either (even though she smokes, albeit only 4-5 a day), so when she's at home I try and respect her wishes. If I'm by myself (sob) then yes, I smoke in my house. @300ZX_666 - Well, I can't argue with your experience in this field. I've had an incident myself with a cig butt coming back in my car and going down the back of my seat. So I pulled over and got it out, no drama (just a small burn in the seat). The people you are referring to, I'm pretty sure, would be the same group of people that manage to seriously injure themselves while brushing their teeth. The same people who fall down stairs and have bizarre accidents with seemingly completely safe, everyday objects. The problem is however, that these morons also manage to hit other cars, who have nothing to do with their stupidity. As Hollowpoint said, I can't understand why they just don't ban it all together and be done with it. In 5-10 years, no one would care anyway. If I didn't smoke so much (cigarettes cost 1 quid a pack here, LOL), then I could get on with the serious business of stuffing my face with cake and fast food. I'm pretty sure I'll have to have at least one addiction though!

Smoking in Cars?
Was reading a few comments on the BBC site today about this - interested to see where our well balanced membership sit on this issue. My personal viewpoint is: I smoke, I smoke in my car and you'll have to kill me if you want me to stop. I'm more than able to smoke and drive at the same time too (although it does get difficult to hold my can of beer at the same time:laugh:). Seems to me like there is a solid argument for banning smoking in cars with youngsters - I couldn't agree more. I choose to smoke, but I try my best not to impose on others, certainly not vulnerable children. But a blanket ban on smoking in cars? Yeah, good luck with that one. If the government is really hell bent on making us all fit and healthy, there are plenty of other places you could start. Should people be allowed to do things to themselves even if they are unhealthy? Most people drink or smoke, or both. The others are just completely devoid of personality. I often wonder why our brains developed all these receptors to illicit substances if we weren't supposed to take them [typed whilst tightening belt around upper arm]. Anyway, where is this going to end?

Mileage when changing clocks
This topic might not be the best subject to have on an open forum, for obvious reasons...
