totally, over a decent mileage you would probably still make a saving even if you went through a set of injectors or a fuel pump every year. Modern common rail dervs can't generally be run on veg oil, but most old skool ones can, all ones with bosch pumps can. I actually know someone who is running their bm 330d on veg atm against everybodies advice, but it seems to be fine for him so far, time will tell how long it lasts before the high pressure pump fails of the injectors pack in.

no it doesn't so you can't really dyno them and even if you can the results will be wildly innacurate because of the convertor slip. Was at an RR day at powerstation yesterday and the attempt at running an auto corvette was hopeless, get on the throttle at all and it drops and spins out, manage to tease it into top and floor it results in overspeeding the rollers. Can't see it being much different in a 300.

a 300 when used for only short trips will have a gargantuan appetite for fuel, if you are worried about the cost of fuel then you'd be much better off with a nice diesel.

looks better, never liked the 99 spoiler much. Those decals need to go ASAP, they take any class it had and throws it in the bin. Looks like the kind of thing you see on knackered old fords parked in rough council estates, hope i'm not being too harsh lol. Exhausts are a little OTT too but meh, get rid of the fog light and mud flaps then it will be perfect :p
