no, they are not. They have a strong reputation for their unreliability, with particularly bad problems with gearboxes and drivetrain components.

yes to a certain extent. Will more than likely be as minimal as the manufacturer/seller can get away with though so won't come with any intake/exhaust components, no electronic bits, wouldn't be surprised if one came without even any belt pulleys.

I don't see the issue with nuclear power, it's the only realistic alternative to burning fossil fuels. Sending nuclear waste into space isn't a great idea though, there is a pretty decent chance that the rocket carrying it would blow up on ascent and spread said nuclear waste across a huge area on the earth, or if it did make it, we would just have loads of nuclear waste in orbit, which would eventually get pulled back into the atmosphere anyway.
