thats a low resolution there mate, even a standard PAL DVD has 576 lines, that has 480. You would likely see no improvement in quality at all.

you can't, stock recirc's will leak if you open them to atmosphere, afaik anyway.

the noise has nout to do with the wastegates anyway, it is from the compressor wheel.

Orido's supra makes the best compressor stall sound :D Going to need a big turbo and high boost to get that effect though, stock ones on a zed will be weak at best. FICD solenoid aint working then (fast idle control device). You can see where this is here. The grey plug on it is the one for FICD, i'm not that clued up on these, but I guess cleaning out the connector, and the valve unit itself, cannot do any harm..

Nikasil issues affected cars with the M52 inline 6 and M60 V8 engines. This includes E34, e36, e32, e38, e46 and e39 models. M52 was never affected in the US because they had cast liners, was fixed in '98 over here. Don't know when the V8's were updated, but they were, and got 'Alusil' liners instead.

Folks should realise that this IS the Skyline of today, the GT-R is no longer any part of the skyline range. In fact the skyline sedan is pretty low down in the rankings, as you can see here http://www.nissan.co.jp/EN/LINEUP/lineup_07.html, it is only one step above a bluebird! Another interesting point is that the 350z is based on the skyline coupe, not the other way round, the main difference being the heavy strengthening done to the 350z.
