you said boost gauge showing 0.9, this must be an aftermarket gauge, and 0.9bar is not stock, stock is 0.6bar.

So, I found this little lot in the garage today lurking on a shelf. I very much want to learn how to use it :D So can anyone tell me, or tell me where to find out what kind of paint I need, what to do with it, how to spray it, and so on... I've seen this done on the tv lots of times and it looks quite technical! Thanks :)

will almost certainly be able to adjust it with the screw, when I did my mates one i remember it had about +/- 20mph adjustment at 80, that is with a swapped resistor though.

They are not charging you for 8mb, it's 'up to 8mb'. No guarantees what speed you will get. Even if your line is good enough to connect to the exchange at 8mb, you won't be able to do much with it with most ISP's anyway. You will either have a hard limit on how much you can download, or they will throttle your speed if they deem you to be taking the piss. This is because their backbone bandwidth is oversold massively, much more than 50:1. You cannot blame them for this, wholesale bandwidth costs are hugely more expensive than the end-user pays for it. For example A single BT central line costs an ISP £26,000 for each 155Mbps, that will pay for 19 customers who use their 8mb connection to its fullest potential. So by using your 8mb flat out all the time would cost your ISP £1368 a month, so for your 20 quid of whatever you are getting a bargain!

Check for dirty throttle bodies, malfunctioning/dirty idle air valve, malfunctioning coolant temp sensor.

A mate has one pushing a bit over 300bhp and the acceleration is so brutal it feels like you will be pushed into the back lol. Maybe you will beat one at high speed but by the time you have done it you could also have said goodbye to your license.

this almost always works to your advantage. Park the car and go inside and mouth off at them about it, louder the better, usually results in at least another box of fries (be sure to keep the origonal) and your money back for the whole meal.
