Front seats removal
Easy peasy, 2 bolts at front, 2 nuts on rear. Unplug electrics after unbolting, as you'll need to move seat back and forward to access them....oh, and watch you dont scratch your sills when you take them out, they are very heavy.

bmw 840
Big and heavy, no comparison to zed performance, more of a big cruiser. I like the 8 series, but generally they always got bad press.... becuase it was the wrong car(meant as a 6 series replacement, but never lived up to it) launched at the wrong time (big engine at a time when europe was in an economic decline).

Brakes
This makes sense. The Info I have shows a change in 91 for the NA to 30mm discs, but reports from other members show that this is'nt the case. Must have been for U.S only. It would be cheaper and simpler to upgrade to a TT setup, there are plenty of TT calipers lying about after owners have Upgraded.

Gerrrr
Seems to be a big issue with MR2's but not so much with Zed's. Some have had occasional problems, but its just an indication that seals need replacing, or can be solved with a variety of products.

Intercoolers fmic
The guys in the U.S tend to avoid the Ebay Intercooler kits. I read of several spilling end joints under boost, plus bigger is not always better. You have to take into consideraton the pressure drops, and height&width versus depth, plus the type of main core used.

v605 is the latest Great_Britain map. v632 is the latest Great_Britain_Plus map. These maps have the same UK content but the Plus also has "Major Roads of Europe". TomTom do not offer free upgrades, they can be purchased from TomTom Website for $59.95 (£41) http://www.tomtom.com/plus/services/mds.php

newby question
I can get 30+mpg on a motorway run !, but I usually average around 21-23mpg with urbun/rural driving.... less if its one of those heavy foot days. Fuel tank size 72litres , although I cant say I've ever managed to fit that much in, usually £60'ish of optimax from fuel light to Full. Its more economical than my old Bmw 535i, but as said dont think about mpg with a High performance car.

Running lean!
Martyn, Indicator should move from lean to rich somewhat randomly through the rev range I believe the only true indicator of Lean/Rich can be obtained with a Wideband O2 sensor.

Chips!!
Wether to chip...definatly, espcially if you have the other supporting mods and 360 degree bearing tubs. THe chip wont offer any real extra performance on its own, it allows you to then safely increase boost with Boost jets or boost controller. Wether you choose JWT depends on your ultimate goal. The JWT runs very much on the side of caution in regards to fuelling and Timing, and wont offer you quite the power increase that others do. It also does'nt have any safety maps, so if the ECU detects any problems it will just continue as normal. Danny @ DTA has a range of ECU chip options, as does AndyP with his Nisstek chips. Your also not far from John Dixon, who has provided ECU Chip remaps for many club members cars, including my own and comes highly recommended.

Let me know if I can interest you in a similar setup ;)

beemers and audi
The S6 and M5 seems fairly even matched...and faster than the M3 CSL. Strange how a 400ps M5 is marginally quicker than a 360ps M3.......and how the M5 and 500ps S6 are about equal, not sure all those power figures are accurate. What I am sure is that the Greddy beast would eat them alive !
