  1. No need to remove headlights to take bulbs out !! , takes a couple of mins to remove bulbs once your used it, but yes they are fiddly.
  2. Welcome back, glad the car is back on the road:D
  3. Dont like the big grinning mouth/bumper/grill. But the rest looks good.
  4. Yes you will need to ditch the stock smic, but there are LOADS of threads on aftermarket SMIC vs FMIC, Suggest you search the forum bud ;) here are a few : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=66414&highlight=smic+fmic http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=55811&highlight=smic+fmic http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=50548&highlight=smic+fmic
  5. Thats not standard ! Thats an extra aerial somebody has fitted to yours, probably for a mobile phone. The zed does have two aerials, but the other one is not visible as its built into the rear screen heater filaments.
  6. Painted mine red when I got my first zed (Halfords Caliper paint)
  7. Not sure what your adusting, but they do not have anythiing for boost adjustment as standard. You can either with Boost jets (mig weld tips) of around 1.0mm dimension in the boost pipes, or fit an electronic boost controller.
  8. nope, just the engine bay is yellow so far. (sig is a photochop ;)) That Sounds Great !!!
  9. As above, PTU, coilpacks, Injectors, CAS, connectors..etc Clutch idler bearing TPS too low perhaps. THe Window demister turns on Aircon, which sends a signal to ECU to increase revs slightly to compensate, which is why its ok with aircon on. Also clean Throttle Butterly valves.
  10. Mowgs the pimp!
  11. sh*t sorry to hear Si :( Do you have a leg to stand on with regards to the engine you purchased..anything in the sellers advert stating condition...etc Was it compression tested correctly?..be testing with all plugs removed. Doing it 1 by 1 will give inaccurate results.
  12. Speak to Cybernet about getting traction control ! Although if its as bad as you say, then that probably says more about your tyre choice (very important in zed!) and suspension condition.
  13. THere are two identical sized turbo's on the zed, each turbo feeding one half of the V6 block. Sequential turbo cars like the supra have one small and one larger version for two staged boost. Stock boost is 9psi / 0.62 bar. Turbo's are efficient up to around 16-18psi (1.1 - 1.2 bar), although you need bigger injectors and aftermarket intercoolers to run much past 14psi (1bar) which is the typical boost level most run theirs at as a safe level on stock turbo's and will give around 340-370 fwBHP.
  14. Yep, its the brackets for a UK oil cooler. Im sure other UK Zed onwers must have the HKS....wait till one replies I guess
  15. Its all to do with the clever centre design, creats some sort of twisting vacumm I believe, and means it does'nt need to be as large as the others. There is a comparison of it and 3 others somewhere. It offered the best filteration and best airflow.
  16. Its automated, I guess Mike Groves or AndyP would be the one to change it. Nicely rewritten
  17. I've played with one on motorway, accelerating from and up to various differnet speeds as traffic clears and then gets in the way again. Believe me...there is no competition. They are quick, but certainly not GTR and Zed quick.
  18. I've bought one from 300zxstyling and it all seems very good quality, they are identical as far as I know.
  19. The condition of shocks, springs, bushes and model of tyres would explain the differences. I've driven over a dozen different zed's and each one feels different, but not noticed a particular UK vs Jap difference.
  20. there are loads of people selling these, including RHD versions for a lot cheaper than that.
  21. Mike @ MJP for all Nissan OEM parts he may sell the polybush versions too...if not then zcentre do.
  22. Track sessions all gone. Space left on Stand though. Book A.S.A.P
  23. Mike @ MJP is our Nissan OEM parts suppler, and can supply cheaper than Nissan, without the need for a part number. The bearing is right above the cats, you can't miss it (once exhaust is dropped). Its surrounded by a carrier bracket bolted to the chassis. Be sure to mark up each half of the prop before seperating so you can put them back on, with the marks lining up (or it will be out of balance), and keep a check on what way the spacers go on for reassembling in same way.
  24. The standard airbox only has one outlet too....onto the Maf, which is where an Apexi filter bolts on instead. EDIT : that teaches me to leave a reply open for ages, and not refreshing before replying, Daz beat me to it :wack:
  25. Rear Arches and Rear bumper the same. Front is different, as Si mentions, as it was recently changed after an accident with a ferrari. Not sure about skirts.
