Nice one Lisa. Does the sheet say what the Rear Wheel horsepower & torque was?

what size gtr turbos
R33 Turbos are T25 R33 GTR Turbos compressor housing - A/R 0.42 with 50 trim wheel Turbine Housing - A/R 0.48 with 62 trim wheel Im pretty sure its the GTS that has T3 flange, and its only the R34 that has Ceramic blades and is a GT25 A lot of work for no gain, you might gain an extra 20hp compared to the Stock 300zx T25/T22 hybrids. If your going to pull engine and replace turbos you may as well make the most of it.

A Sign of growing Old...
Sure its not from too much :xxx: kim ? I've had to wear glasses since I was 8, although switched to contact lenses when I was 14 and would be very strange to go back to glasses now.

Rac
I Have done this before.....drive the car a few miles away from where you bought it and park somewhere public (pub, supermarket, train station..etc). It sounds like the car you got had drive in 1st and 2nd, and loses 3rd gear....typical autobox problem. Dont tell them you just bought it...they are wise to it, and have rules regarding distance you have to have travelled from purchase...etc Just say it broke down, autobox issues and your going to make own way home, Wait with the car till they arrive and take it away...they will need to see membership card and you have to sign papers..etc anyway If its a long distance they prefer that anyway as they will put it on a relay service, and gets swapped over between different recovery trucks on the way.

Newbie saying hi
Congrats on the purchase, looks like a tidy example. You could check with SWZ Parts (in forums traders section or http://www.swzparts.co.uk) to see if they have any Autoboxes available. or you can get a Manual conversion kit for around £700

uk cast iron calipers
Yep, you;ll get around £100 for a Set of Front Calipers and Discs from SX owners. They will pay the same again for the rears and about £70 for the Master cylinder.

Converting is not popular in the UK, mainly becuase of how readily available and cheap TT's are anyway. I know of 3 conversions and have assisted with 1. Much more popular in the U.S, although a lot of the converts over there are because they want a LWB TT becuase the LWB's only ever came as NA in the U.S There are advantages to converting, such as having the NA rear diff and Subframe which has improved acceleration. A Converted NA>TT will be quicker than a regular TT. You can also upgrade the engine/turbos before fitting..etc I guess the real choice comes down to the condition of your NA and how attached to it are you.

Bit bias but.. 300zx or GTO?!
Im not a GTO fan Im afraid, They look big and ungainly to me with stick on bits of plastic and I dislike the interior. They are also a complete pig to work on, had to do some jobs on a GTO (engine bay and Interior) last year and everything was a PITA. The 4wd grip helps with launching and bad weather but hinders mid-range and top end performance and they are a fair bit heavier which dulls the handling. I've only driven an NA, it drove fine, just not very exciting compared to a NA zed. If your just after a Big all-weather sport cruiser, and you like the looks then you'll be happy, but bear in mind cost of ownership - Maintenance and fuel bills. Whereas the Supra, 300zx and RX7 are more sports orientated, tunable, cheaper to run and more fun to drive IMO. The gto never fairs very well in any of the Magazine tests in the past, comparing gto, rx7, supra, 300zx, corvette, porsche...etc

fan under slam panel
Its best to leave it. I've removed mine for better airflow to the radiator, but then I have Improved cooling and gauges with warning meters to monitor temps and wont be using it as a daily driver sitting in traffic jams.

Petrol Flap Enquiry
Just to clarify, here is a SWB and LWB Interior : SWB (with aftermarket seat) LWB (with retrimmed seats)
-
fan under slam panel
Its not Aircon fan, although it does come on at a lower temperature if you have aircon on, its actually the Auxillery fan, it comes on to help cooling in the case of overheating. All cars have them.

brake conversion
R34 GTR version will be harder to find, but the R33 GTR rear brakes are the same as the R34 and easier to find.

ahh, cheers. I was breaking the wire when lift was higher up. Cheers gaz, all dead now :)

Petrol Flap Enquiry
Your post is confusing. If it has the flap between the wheel and passenger door then it was a SWB and has no rear seats, its a 2 seater only. If the one you saw had rear seats then its a LWB and the flap would of been rearward of the back wheel.

H3, H3c, H3u
Link not working. Danny @ DTA sells them, in the forums traders section. Should ditch bulbs though and upgrade to HID's the difference is amazing. One of the best Modifications you can get.

stock internals?
Most run 13-14psi with a Chipped ECU on stock turbos, injectors, intercoolers, internals. No problems.

Height
Not sure about front bumper clearance height, but what is the new bumper and is it a stock one you have now ? Chances are there will be plenty of cars on here with the same bumper.
