  1. Worn Big and/or Main Bearings. (the crankshaft bearings and Rod bearings). Most likely reason is innaccurate Oil pressure gauge though, very common.
  2. There are adjusters on the back of the headlights.
  3. Swap for a Z - Not in a million years personally. The only advantage I see is that they have more rear leg seat room. The rest of the interior is a dismall let down, the exterior is no better, certaintly not much of a looker and its only got a 2.5 single turbo. There not an all together bad car in their own right, but not Z territory. Depending on the year it might be worth more and easier to sell though....benefiting from its big Brothers (GTR) reputation to help with resale values. I guess that If you were looking to sell the Z anyway, and after something more family orientated and its newer than the Z so worth more, then its a consideration.
  4. I'd of said the opposite - Zcentre do kits and they are cheap. £350 + vat They use Vinyl backs to keep the cost down. You have to fit yourself and thats the key to how they look, getting everything tight and looking perfect. Your looking at well over £1k from an upholsterer and some members have paid over £2k for complete interior.
  5. They just lift straight out once unbolted  Once you unplug the bulbs ofcourse.
  6. I dont think there is a complete headgasket "how to" Dan. Its a engine out job (there are guides for that) then plenum off (guides out there for that, and I think you've done that) lower plenum off with fuel rail then Remove each head Replace headgaskets Really you should get the heads sent off to an engineers to be tested too.
  7. and your not happy with the lighting ? and its a 6000k(or lower) kit ? If so, Then you have dirty lenses, all zed headlights get very dirty inside, but you cant really tell until you dissassemble them and clean them. The ellipsoid glass and the inside the glass housings get very dirty. Taking them apart and cleaning them makes a very big difference. My Z (on left) next to my 99 Toyota celica (on right). The celica has excellent lights but they are like candles in comparison.
  8. No I dont. But the answer is H3 HID's ;) The difference is literally like night and day.
  9. oh dear...and in 2 different shades of white too
  10. Similar to the Engine cooler pipes, It uses metal hardpipes from the gearbox to the crossmember, and you just use new 10mm hose.
  11. Yep 19row is perfect size. Any smaller and it wont be as efficient and any larger it becomes more of an air obstruction to the radiator.
  12. The Autobox oil cooler is built into the end tanks of the Radiators. The Engine oil cooler is the one under the nose panel. Its a good idea to upgrade both. A 19row oil cooler for the engine, and something like a 10 row oil cooler for the autobox. The stock pipes can be used, but they may not reach the new oil cooler becuase it will be taller. But you will notice that the oil cooler pipes are rubber from the sump to the Crossmember, then they are metal, then they are rubber from the crossmember to the oil cooler. You can just use longer pieces from the metal pipes on the crossmember to the oil cooler.
  13. Standard Gauge ? Its notoriously innaccurate and reads low becuase the oil pressure switch hole gets blocked up.
  14. MLR = http://www.lancerregister.com/
  15. The zed is largely overlooked by other Enthusiasts. Lots of false presumptions..etc oh well, each to their own and all that.
  16. Your going to spend £100/£190 on tax JUST to drive it to a Tatsu meet, then park it up for rest of the winter again ? Thats dedication LOL Although its dedication to Tatsu rather than 300zx.co.uk :slap: :p
  17. 200sx and Skyline MAF;s both different. The 300zx MAF is an upgrade for them both.
  18. Considering it for mine, along with the others I listed, I love the look of the Kaminari from the back. Mine is spoilerless now, and waiting to be sprayed and will decide on wing later.
  19. You could do what everyone else does - and borrow a MAF from a zed owner nearby to test it ;)
  20. A lot of them are still wearing some makeup
  21. Cant make it unfortuantly. Take some pics though, the Tatsu meets are always popular gatherings.
