  1. Tbh its not a commong failure item. I would'nt bother getting rid if its just for reliablity. The only problem people tend to have it with the Hicas arm bushes getting worn. If you fit a hicas eliminator you will still have the same problem. Only way to get around that it to do a complete NA subframe swap. You can disable the hicas tempoarily by disconnecting the plug that goes between the Hicas solenoid and PAS fluid lid to see if you prefer it.
  2. Perspex Strip is about £50 from Nissan, although ofcourse you'll need the holes in top of the tailgate filled and the entire thing resprayed as well.
  3. The fuel pump fuse is in the small fuse box in engine bay, next to the brake master cylinder. There is no fuel adjustment. Everything is controlled by the ECU. Most likely Overfuelling reasons are bad o2 sensors, bad coolant temp sender, bad fuel pressure regulator, boost leak...
  4. lol no, Im alright at bowling, shit at ice skating though. Thats an idea that I like :) :duffer:
  5. ...plus the downsides of the extra weight and drivetrain friction.......and proper sports cars are traditionally RWD.

In straight line performance your probably taking a couple of tenths max for the 0-60 or 1/4 mile. There is a handling benefit with its more nimbler chassis though, and there is the lighter and stiffer chassis slicktop in SWB version as well.
  7. A Work of Art  Very impressive. Top notch welds.
  8. 500 @ flywheel or at Rear wheels ? Need to clarify as they are quite different goals.
  9. Its a handling aid. Its speed and steering angle sensitive .Depending on the speed and the steering angle the Computer will either turn the rear wheels with the front wheels, or turn the opposite way, or it can turn one way and then the other. It helps with fast lane changes, and high speed turns. A lot of people dont like it because it takes away some of the "feel" and can make the car handle in a way you don't necessarily want it to. Others may feel it helps them of tricky situations and they are comfortable with it. The biggest problem with it is that it can have a very negative affect with the rear end stability when the hicas arms are worn. If there is a fault with it then the Hicas light should show. You can also test it with a Conzult system.
  10. Missfire is likely to be either a failing PTU, Coilpack connectors, Injector Connectors or the Loom itself. There are other reasons, but thats the most common. You need to find out if its fuel or spark related. There is a lot of information on here about how to diagnose, but if you would rather an expert takes a look, then Nissan is the last place I would take it. Where are you based, your profile does'nt say ?
  11. im a big fan of the original shape, but im really liking this a lot too : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-240Z-Datsun-240z-S30-Race-Nissan-custom-260z-280z-z-car_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a543Q7c39Q3a1Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c240Q3a1308QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem300268980690QQitemZ300268980690
  12. Rare 99spec window switched ended on ebay, with CF centre console - £26. damn :( I was watching it for the Centre console, never noticed till after that they are the super rare 99spec window switches with the different style rocker switches. :headvswal http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&item=220299769807
  13. Cant do Sunday Im afraid. I've already got to try and juggle my eldest daughters Birthday party and the Brazilian F1 somehow.
  14. Yeh, I'd prefer just food, drink & music. It takes me about an hour before I can let go of the side when ice skating and I get bored of Bowling too quickly.
  15. Brand was supposed to be on Buzzcocks 2nite......nope, they showed a different show it seems.
  16. lol Bad comparison. We'd be slacking off from our normal work and using company time to make nuisance phone calls. Whereas he was being paid to entertain by making the phone call. Agree with the rest of what you said though, except the BBC should have no right to sack them. Yeh, perhaps Brand and Ross should apologise to Sachs & granddaughter...but it was the BBC that decided to air the pre-recorded calls.
  17. Over-reaction alert ! I like Brand and Ross and found it funny in places, but longwinded. It was a pre-recorded show though, the BBC obvviously reviewed it, thought it was fine, and aired it! Then they suspend them and force resignations when people complain :xxx:
  18. Thats the price from MJP. Nissan are quite a bit more.
  19. Leave cars at home. Xmas dinner & Drink. 2005 was excellent - Xmas Night at Pub/Resturant near Burham-on-sea - Lots of pics - http://www.interwired.co.uk/zed/xmasparty2005/ 2006 was ok, but only 4 of us turned up. Dinner on Resturant boat in bristol and then into town. Did'nt go to 2007 one (if there was one?)
  20. Not worth cleaning them for the sake of £10 the pair for new ones. Its the pipes that are expensive, not the valves.
  21. Depends which ones you mean. The ones that are wrapped around the elbows, downpipes..etc I see no problem with removing them The one bolted to the chassis that shields the prop bearing from the cats though could cause premature prop bearing failure if removed.
  22. A lot cheaper than £400 (zcentre) + Lights + paint . If its getting painted who cares if its not brand new. Wish I'd seen it before buying mine.
  23. Thats about right for the HKS SSQV's. They used to be more than that.
  24. I'd be suprised if it was the coils tbh , What plugs are you running ?
