  1. There are hotels at the circuit, although I guess they would be expensive. Im sure wozzer and others will have hotel recomendations ? How about leaving earlier on the friday and stopping off somewhere in France for the night. Make the most of the trip, instead of rushing to get there and back.
  2. Count me in. When were you thinking of ?
  3. Whats their name Dave, I'll be looking for somebody suitable soon too. Finding an Engineers is'nt a problem, several in every town/city, but finding one with proven Race/performance build experience is a different matter.
  4. There all superb, but I chose no.2 in the end.
  5. wow, policeman had a cheek. Stand your ground, he has'nt got a hope in hell. Dont push for personal injury though, they'll see right through it seeing as the only damage done was a marked bumper and it will discredit you.
  6. Powertrix make copies of the Kaminari's for a lower price
  7. Mmmm..yeh 99 slicktop TT manual
  8. they are the screws that hold the flap to the body. Undo the screws, move the flap, tighten screws.
  9. nasty stuff. You should see the mess inside after its been used.

probably chipped with boost increase too. Tuning them is pretty popular.
  11. there are no con's other than the price of Converting..but then half of that you get back in increased value anyway :)
  12. Its ok looking. Just looks like a 350z with a bit of a facelift to me.
  13. Not at all. Different target buyers. One is half the price of the other.

Neil, If you mean Andy Duff then he is not on here anymore. If its another Andy then just ignore me :)
  15. Not sure why they told you that...or if they have only very recently stopped doing them. I've dealt with them a lot over the past couple of years, having sent about a dozen pairs to them. Cost is dependent on Turbo condition but typically £300-£400 each for stock refurb with 360 bearings. The other option for stock turbos is new CHRA's from the states, and reuse your old housings. Which would cost around £500 Or for a decent mild upgrade the Z1 GT525. More potential than the Sport500 for about same cost.
  16. Some more vids and details of that car on track here : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=94644
  17. Not sure on the U.S import regualtions, not entirely sure they pay any Duty or Tax, or if they do then its much lower, although that may be dependent on state.
  18. Yep, speedo's (on all cars, not just Z's) tend to be 5-10 percent out....so as the speed increases the less accurate they become.
  19. Yep, afraid so. They only consider items as gifts if value below £18 I believe.
  20. Quite often companies will mark the value lower, to save on Duty & Vat, but then you lose out if the item is lost or damaged, which I've had so its not really worth the risk.
  21. Sounds about right tbh. You should budget for around 22% of the cost (inc delivery) for Import duty, Vat & admin fee's. Not sure about the extra delivery charge though, never come across that before.
  22. Well volunteered, grab your GPS satnav, and I'll meet you at the M5 junction :)
  23. Yeh, the extra cost for import is a stupid generalisation. Dates back to about 20 yrs ago, when people wouls bring over grey imports that were never available within the UK and Main dealers would not touch them and there were no independent suppliers. Its all very different now, except the insurance companies still use it as an excuse to charge premiums - probably because an owner of an Imported vehicle is going to be an enthusiast and more willing to pay a premium for his toy.
