  1. ok, yeh, thats fine then. Personally I would'nt swap them, the NA diff and subframe is a great modification to a TT - Less weight, removed hicas and 4.08 rear diff ratio makes a big difference in acceleration. People go to a lot of trouble to fit the NA setup onto a TT.
  2. UK & Europe had the 2+2 Twin turbo only. JDM Market has every combination, except for the Convertible being NA only. 300ZX Twin-Turbo 2+2 T-Top 300ZX Twin-Turbo 2 Seater T-Top 300ZX Twin-Turbo 2 Seater Slick Top 300ZX N/A 2+2 T-Top 300ZX N/A 2 Seater T-Top 300ZX N/A 2 Seater Slick Top 300ZX N/A 2 Seater Convertible The vast majority of 300zx's in the UK are Japanese Imports, and are 2+2 Twin turbos.
  3. NA diff uses different prop fitment to TT diff. So you need the rear half of an NA prop , and for the front half you will need a Manual front prop half. Make sure the rear half is from a LWB (front half is same for LWB/SWB)
  4. Welcome
  5. just flicked over to it....I guess I've missed it?
  6. If your not running more boost with lower compression then whats the point. A higher compression engine will make more power than a Lower compression engine at the same boost level. Lower compression allows you to run more boost, while sacrificing off-boost and same boost power, lag and to more extreme levels, driveablity. Btw - A 8:1 ratio with 22psi is the same effective compression ratio as a 8:5:1 at 20psi, which is around 20:1 (not correcting for altitude).
  7. ...except your never going to run GT28r's over 25psi, and stock CR is fine for that sort of boost (with proper tuning). Therefore you would be making sacrifices for no gain.
  8. Yes it does ;) If anything I would personally go the other way...raise the compression and run a little less boost. But in reality stick to the stock Compression. There is no need to lower it for the boost levels being ran.
  9. Sacrifices off-boost power and spoolup and not needed unless your looking at really hight boost , ~30psi, which nobody runs....and even then I would alter CR with the Headgasket not the pistons. Custom Piston CR ratios more suited for those looking at High NA Builds and want to raise CR.
  10. Agreed, I could be tempted to fit some of them LOL
  11. 1. Ferrodo DS2500 seem to be a popular option, and on a lower budget the Hawk HPS and portefields. 2. The 300zx is about same weight as the skyline and similar performance. It has similar sized brakes to the R32 GTR, but nissan fitted larger Brembo brakes for the R33 and R34 and never bothered improving them for the 300zx. The larger brakes will improve initial bite and resistance to overheating. Most stock brake issues are down to requiring maintenance (old brake fluid and seized caliper piston). 3. All TT's came with spoilers. NA's had the option of no spoiler. Many people get rid of the stock spoiler and go for the smooth look becuase they prefer it.
  12. probably - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=115975 , http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=114107
  13. umm..err they want us to decide what we want to eat now ?
  14. Yep, stick to the standard 8.5:1 ratio.
  15. They are a complete PITA to remove! They have to be cut out, which will damage the rubber around them and the rubber is quite thick - sharp knife and a couple of hours of cutting. Will need to use sealant on new ones when refitting. Personally I would just get some tint film and do your current ones yourself.

  18. Glad you had a good time....gatecrasher lol Did you get my texts !?
  19. Series 2 and 3 had the option of Leather or Velour seats. Those fitted with Velour seats had Velour panels Those fitted with Leather seats had Suede/alcantara panels I'd describe it as a blue'ish grey.
